The only one babbling is you lol. They work just fine outside of China, unless you live in the land of the "free", then you might have some issues.

Lol, as you can see, a certain someone is feeling insecure because he can't factually disprove a thing I've said about EasyAbroad and DroiTong on HarmonyOS devices, or anything else that I've said regarding HarmonyOS. Oh and btw, they admitted that there's a learning curve with HarmonyOS. My point has been thoroughly proven.

Celebrating REGIONAL domestic sales while your "global" devices are running an isolated, Frankenstein OS missing out on standard Western services isn't what I would call'innovation'—it's severe coping with an ecosystem exile. Keep cheering for hardware stats from a walled garden that the rest of the world has to side-load just to keep breathing. 😏

Talk about textbook delusional from the same individual.

Flexing CHINA-market volume because the Chinese government forces a captive buyer base doesn't make the Huawei brand a global titan—it makes it a local "monopoly." Call it defiance all you want, but bragging about global sales while your entire ecosystem is locked out of standard international app stores and relying on third-party duct tape just to function properly is pure cope. Keep cheering for a hardware-only paperweight that requires an instruction manual and a LEARNING CURVE just to run basic apps while unrestricted brands actually set the real global standard. 😏

"Oh yeah because everyone wants to use or have access to T-Mobile. Oh wait, you're just twisting the narrative to fit your agenda. 😏"

No one said anything about anyone wanting to use or having access to T-Mobile. I simply stated a fact about Huawei devices working fine on T-Mobile and on any Carrier that uses their network. You're the one spinning things to fit your agenda. 😏

"Oh you want to play that card? You've been doing the same shtick for over a decade now, apparently under multiple aliases. Remember you started attacking me several years ago when I first started coming to PA. And let's not kid ourselves, you ousted your own family member right here in the comments section and got personal just because you were getting decimated. You're the last one to talk about anyone being aggressively combative."

The above from you reads at "pot, meet kettle". You have been here on this site for much longer than I have, under multiple accounts such as mxyzptlk, your first account here. Even others here like Crispin, Aeglish, Vanced and DJOne have called you mxyzptlk, because they know who you really are. You've been attacking me since your mxyzptlk account, and have been aggressively combative against me because I got multiple accounts of yours banned from this site. And lets not ourselves, you even became aggressively combative with Pimpin because he asked you a simple question that you could not provide an answer for, because you lack any experience with the OS he questioned you about. You're the one that can't talk about being aggressively combative.

"Lol, you're acting like I've never praised Huawei for anything. Again, twisting the narrative. I just recently praised them in the latest wearable article, the same one where you decided to again be aggressively combative."

What does your sneak diss comment about Huawei wearables have to do with Honor giving Huawei high praise? And how did I become aggressively combative on an article that I didn't respond to anyone one? Make it make sense lol.

No, you simply assumed that everyone would be ok with or have access to T-Mobile or T-Mobile mvno which I thoroughly debunked and dismissed.

Ok then, prove it. Don't 🐔💩 your way out like you always do when I call you out. Prove it because I can easily prove that you have indeed been here longer than ANYONE, and it wasn't even that difficult lol because you pretty much do it all the time thinking no one would notice, billybad. And I didn't aggressively attack pimpin. Lol that was just a slight disagreement that was quickly squashed and put behind. Unlike you, I don't sell people out just because I stand for a phone brand, especially my own family members like you did. I can easily talk about anyone being aggressively combative especially when it comes to you constantly being combative against anyone in Huawei articles.

I understand, when it goes against your little narrative, you dismiss it. Unfortunately for you, it's there in digital ink for all to see.

Huawei, Samsung wants it phablet back.

Oh and BTW writer, even though all phones got bigger, none of them now sre wide like they use to be. They are tall and narrow, not wide like they use to be.

Wider is better. Ask Pontiac.

I don't like or care for the iPhone Dud, but realistically speaking, users are going to get the iPhone or a more capable Android foldable because those devices are more established and have better features, functionality, and compatibility than a dead paperweight outside China would have. It's DOA outside of China because it's not even a smartphone outside of China.

That not entirely true. Floss Carter on YT always is showing phonea from Huawei and others and they seem to work fine in the US as long as you are on a GSM carrier.

Also you can also usually switch the Ui to English.

Many of them you can still sideload apk's which meamd yoi can add Google services if you want too.

Also, older versions of HarmonyOS do support native Android APK installs.

Also not all Chinese OEMs are banned from using Android. Just Huawei as far as I am aware.

Who did? A "good" point is exempt when it comes to bad takes and aggressively combative arguments.

He's definitely babbling. I live in the U.S., and like many other people that use Huawei devices outside of China, the devices work just fine. Just watch, he will flip flop with his next response because Pimpin just called him out about saying this phone being "DOA" outside, which it is most certainly not.

1st off, yes you can get those phones to work. Bit guess what, a car is still drivable without tires as long as the rims are still on it, that doesn't mean yoi should.

The poster was correct, the phone does work decent outside of China unless you live in thr land of the free.

Yes they somewhat work here with so many caveats

1st they only work on AT&T and T-Mobile because they are GSM carriers. They usually don't work on Verizon. Even though China Mobile is also a CDMA carrier, the device isn't compatible since VZW doesn't use CDMA anymore.

Also, you likely wont get 5G signaling since they don't support US bands, which means they fall to 4G which today is really slow since carriers are only keeping it for compatibility reasons.

Next thing. If the device gets broken; you dont have a real repair solution. Younhave to go online, order the part wait weeks for it and take it to someone to hopefully br able t repair it for you, since shipping to China is very expensive and there is zero guarantee yoir package will even be delivered. I know this as fact when I tried to ship a phone I bought online that ended up being a fake. EBay just refunded me my money after my claim.

Huawei phones no longer support native APK files so you wont even have access to anyone Google services. And yes i know, not all Chinese brands are blocked from using Android, but no phone not designed to work in yoir country is going tonhsve access to 100% ofnits capabilities.

Just stop the madness. Making something work that wasn't meant to work the way you trying to sensitive means it is not a solution for the mass majority.

Huawei phones are banned here. They can work, but they dont work.

You know, you can still can install Windows XP.on a new computer and yes you can get some things to still work, but it isnt gonna work like it did when it came out.

I like some Chinese models of phones too, but younguys gotta chill with this BS. A phone being made to work where it wasnt design to work is not the same. You all know this.

The majority of people can't go buy one of these phones and br able to use them here. Anyone who claims otherwise is just lying.

You can get them to work. They do not work. A phone made to work in the US just works, you dont have to do anything but turn it on. That is not true of a Chinese brand phone being used in thr US. Even though the iPhone is made in China, it hardware is desihned to work in thr US as intended and is 100% fully compatible with all US networks if you have an unlocked phone that sint carrier locked. And once you pay them off, the carriers unlocks them allowing them to be used anywhere. You can not do this with a Chinese branded phone. Period.

This is what I mean by BW trolling. Huawei devices do have standard OEM warranties. BW can't prove that they don't, either.

When he says "No wide carrier compatibility", he's only referring to the U.S., as if the U.S. is the only country in existence that has mobile carriers. Huawei devices work on many carriers outside of China.

"No direct access to popular apps and services" is false. Huawei devices have direct access to both through EasyAbroad (which is a direct download from Huawei's own app store), and DroiTong (which is baked into HarmonyOS devices).

Working "just fine" isn't stretch, and "other more capable OEMs that work even better outside of China" is subjective. He's definitely babbling, despite what he wants to claim or assume. And you know what they say about assuming. 🫏

DroidTrong is basically an Android emulator as HarmonyOS no longer natively support APK install. So yes it is, working by a stretch.

And yes the US isn't the only country outside the US. However. Many of those chinese brands natively ship to many countries outside China.

As the poster did say, the phone works great unless you live in the land of the free. He was very specific with that phrase and it makes a huge difference.

Huawei phones are the only brand I am.awarenof thstbcant get Android. So sure any phone made outside the US that has native Android can work here.

However like it was said, outside of China you dont get a warranty and considering how much it n cocts to.ship a phone to China, yoi aren't shipping it back for a repair. You can only hope you buy the part, wait weeks to get it and then pray you can get someone to repair it if you cant.

If you break the back, you might be ok. Break the screen and if you cant repair it yourself you cant risk a repair for a phone where none of the parts are sold locally.

Bring those phones to the US has huge caveats.

No average consumer in North America is going to "forget" Apple or any Android phone for a company that doesn't make any device with all the compatible bands used in the US or have a manufacturer warranty. If these Chinese companies really want to crush the popular phones here put in modems with all the bands used here and offer up a third party warranty available in the US and Canada, then Apple, Samsung and Google would be forced to catch up to them.

Bit you would still need to order them and pay to.have them imported as they would receive FCC certification.

I think it would be stupid to pay double for a phone you will barely get to use, no matter how good it is.
