Nothing you said really had substance. Samsung already had an under display camera on previous models. They are terrible and terrible isn't the word I wanted to use. A word starting with "S" should be more appropriate.

Apple sacrificed quality on a device costing $2000 because an under display camera is cheaper to implement.

The fact you as the writer are saying Samsung should copy this shows your ignorance an bias because you don't wanna say anything bad about Apple.

A punch-hole camera I agree 100% is an eyesore. However, it is a selfie camera and people taking pics of their face, they obviously want to focus on it. So why make it ugly by shooting the photo with the worse camera on the device?

Sure you can manipulate the phone so that you can use the main camera for a selfie and yes it will most certainly be of better quality while still being terrible because the main camera is a crappy camera too.

My solution is very simple. People buy a foldable so they can have a bigger screen. So why not just put the punch-hole camera on the outer screen only and have no camera at all on the inside screen.

This would have been a smarter move by Apple, but they were too busy trying to squeeze every penny out of you to just give you something to get by.

The next model will not have an under the screen camera. I can bet on that. They are gonna go punch-hole. They didn't even use the under display camera on any other product, so why this one? Because the phone costs about $600 to make and they charge $2000 for it. $1400 times 1M sells is a lot of money. So imagine 10M sells.

Samsung is no better here by much. All there foldables have cheap cameras with only the Ultra finally getting the 200MP shooter which is why better than what Apple did. But why did Samsung put it on the smaller one?

Everyone is stupid to even go out an buy one of these and I don't care which brand you get. All of them cheaped out on the cameras.

Then the screen. The cost of the component itself is $200-$400. Apple charging you $1000 to repair it without Applecare is pure greed. For $1000 they aren't repairing it, the yare giving you a refurb and transferring your data.

There is NOTHING about the Duo Samsung should copy. Absolutely nothing.

My point was that you already have a selfie camera on the cover screen, and you can always take a high-quality selfie with that, the main use of the camera on the main screen is for video calls and I think that it is just not a worthy trade-off to have a punch hole camera just for that one use case. So that's why I argue that Apple made the right call with this.

I myself admit this in the article, but the thing is most people wouldn't take a selfie with that camera like ever, because you already have a good selfie camera on the cover screen, so the only use case for the camera on the main screen is video conferencing. Is it justified spoiling the main screen for that one use case? I think not.
