This is what I mean by BW trolling. Huawei devices do have standard OEM warranties. BW can't prove that they don't, either.

When he says "No wide carrier compatibility", he's only referring to the U.S., as if the U.S. is the only country in existence that has mobile carriers. Huawei devices work on many carriers outside of China.

"No direct access to popular apps and services" is false. Huawei devices have direct access to both through EasyAbroad (which is a direct download from Huawei's own app store), and DroiTong (which is baked into HarmonyOS devices).

Working "just fine" isn't stretch, and "other more capable OEMs that work even better outside of China" is subjective. He's definitely babbling, despite what he wants to claim or assume. And you know what they say about assuming. 🫏

Are you old enough to remember the Windows Vista debacle and jow confusing it was for PC that came with Vista vs PC that OEMs tried to make work with Vista?

That is exactly what you are doing.

I can make it much easier for us all. No Chinese branded phone is natively design to work in the US period. They are not vetted or receive any certificate by the US FCC. They do not work on all carriers here. You can only use them on GSM networks and you mist times cant even get 5G only 4G.

There is no service for repair here period. Any repair would be at your own risk after waiting weeks to order a part and hope thst you can or someone can repair. However if they break your phone trying to repairit, you have no legal basis for them to replace or yoinhave zero grounds for restitution. Period.

If you live in the US and you buy a Chinese branded phone, even if it runs native android by whatever means, eithernitnjad Android or is using an emulator nor compatibility layer, ot is equivalent to have a Hackintosh.

I think many Chinese brands are awesome and it is too bad they aren't not natively sold and supported here. But that fact they are not natively sold and support here means that anyone who buys them and tries to use them for anything beyond a review unit for a video; in other words trying to use it as your daily driver is very ignorant and dumb and very counter productive.

Any emulation of Android even on Windows like Bluestacks is a terrible workaround vs just installing Android ASOP natively and using the apps as intended.

Experimenting and learning is always cool and I fully support that. Trying to use said devices in the US in place of device made to work in the US is just a complete waste of money and bring the proverb "A f00l and his money are soon parted"; to be 100% accurate in this case.

The phones that do work outside China are designed to work on pretty much any GSM carrier which is the primary network for all of the EU at the least. This is not true for the States.

"Celebrating REGIONAL domestic sales AND GLOBAL sales".

FIFY, as Huawei is currently #1 in China with smartphones, and on the top 10 GLOBAL list for smartphones, and they are doing this while being under heavy restrictions from abroad. Meanwhile. certain buggy & beta OEM's that have no restrictions and access to cutting edge tech still can't outsell Huawei globally, and are running a buggy, misfit version of Android that every other Android OEM has taken and created something much better than they have. Huawei is out here creating new form factors, innovating, and producing high sales while that buggy & beta OS you favor has to side-load bug fixes just to keep breathing. 😏

Dude, we know all.of this. None of that matters.

If yoi don't live in a country where any device or platform is natively supported, then it is 100% compatible or reliable is just a waste of money.

The only reason Samsung are natively allowed and sold in the US is because Samsung met the needed requirements to do so. If they were ever banned an not authorized for sales in the US, then they would be in the same boat. No access to Andeoidz they would have to resurrect their old OS which does natively support APK installs, but updating thst software to work today, it likely wouldn't just like HarmonyOS no longer does.

I to believe the banning of Huawei is BS, but there is some truth to the security issue.

China is a communist country. You dont need need to have direct tues to the CCP to be forced to do what they ask.

If you own a business in China and the CCP came to you and said, we need you to take your product you send to the US as an example, to be able to.spy on them you have 2 choices. You can do it and be protected and not do it and the CCP Will kill you take your tech and use it how they want.

It is not like America where Apple can use a court to.say no to the Governement.

Huawei is doing what any other would have to do under the same circumstances and it is only working to a point.

Huawei, some have claimed they were banned because if they were sold here, Apple would be out of business. That theyvare banned to protect Apple. I dont believe that because Samsung is sold here and so is Motorola and even though Samsjng for sure makes a way better phone than Apple many kf them costing less too, Samsung isn't outselling Apple here due to brand loyalty which would not change here even if Huawei qas sold here.

What it would do is make Samsung step up, ot would bring another Android player in the US market, and it would eat into Apple sales and take away more of their market, but Apple would still retain at least 35% for sure even if that 35% was still their 250M sales.
