"T-Mobile is, after all, a business. It can’t keep operating at prices that it set 15 years ago"

Really? On US Mobile I can get the same unlimited coverage on the same network for $17 bucks a month that T-Mob wants to charge me $36 for. And I can add international roaming when I'm overseas for a month for what T-Mob wants for a few days.

Oh, and I can actually get phone and email support, too, and not have to use a crappy, buggy app.

I think T-Mob could EASILY keep those old plans and make plenty of money.

Exactly why I left. Lifetime price lock, all inclusive. Oh just one more thing, oh its Netflix... its taxes... wait mine included taxes... these are new ones. Went from 110 for 3 lines to them asking 180. Nope. Went to Verizon got more paying less and an extra 15 off of the FIOS. Bye

I'm on my way out too. Had seven lines for $170 on Magenta Military. This reset was a 25% increase. And if I wanted to drop a line to bring my bill down, the rep said I'd get put on the "regular" experience military rate, which would bump it up AGAIN. Tmo Tuesdays and Netflix don't make up for it. Especially with the twitchy T-Life app.

I'm on the Magenta Military plan, 6 lines $120, they want to jack my plan to $207 per month that's almost a 50% rate hike. I've been a loyal customer for over 25 years and when I call all I get is "I'm sorry sir there's nothing I can do for you" I made it very clear on their recorded line that they are not authorized to make any changes to my account. The rep actually said " Sir the change is going to happen whether you like it or not" I filed an FCC and BBB complaint, let's see how they handle this.

Tells us this shouldn't be a big deal.

Proceeds to give no reasons why.

YES they can "continue to operate" at prices set 15 years ago. What they're doing is accepting they'll lose some customers, but make it up with higher rates on those that just accept them. It's becoming cliche, but its just one more "uncarrier" move by tmobile

"6 lines $120, they want to jack my plan to $207 per month that's almost a 50% rate hike." That's a hike of more than 70%.

For the life of me, I cannot understand why someone would use a postpaid plan instead of a prepaid plan. With prepaid, there are no hidden fees. Just sales tax. I'm on T-Mobile Connect for just $15 a month plus state sales tax for 5GB and hotspotting. I'm paying the same price for the same benefits I received at Mint Mobile. And richer calling features, like Wi-Fi calling and live captioning and translation.

The T-Mobile Magenta 55+ plan was officially established in June 2019, when the carrier rebranded its overarching "ONE" unlimited services to the "Magenta" lineup. Prior to this specific branding, an older predecessor for customers 55 and older was first introduced in early 2018.The plan underwent a massive upgrade in February 2021 when T-Mobile introduced a premium "Magenta MAX" 55+ tier, added free Netflix, and expanded 5G and 4G access for seniors. This Bull cramp on 15 yr old plans are a true lie. This is why I'm join MVNO US MOBILE. 3 CARRIERS IN ONE. Been testing it and wow I'm flabbergasted with the DARK STAR plan(Att)

Any company stating this is for life is feeding you BS ... I'm 60+, and every situation of lifetime guarantee has fallen short. My advice is, when your contract is up, look at where you need to jump. I came to Verizon one year ago, and they continue to grind me on price. I'm with T-Mobile, and they are competitive, other than their retailer lied about the price for the iPhone 17. The perks for me, covering international travel and on planes, are worth it ... But I don't see them as a player in 5 years .. being they are ticking off their base customers right now
