Exciting stuff but I wish they would have knocked the processor down a notch or 2 so it could be cheaper... Either way, the hideous cameras should help tank the resale value so I can buy it cheap second hand🤞
@Alan Friedman, I had the Droid X. It was a single-core CPU (not even SoC back then). A few years later my company gave me the Droid X2 as a work phone, and it was a dual-core. Not much of an improvement.
It's been about 9 years since I last purchased a Motorola phone. But it wouldn't take much to beat their previous efforts seeing as how they gave up on flagships a while ago. If this is actually as impressive as it sounds, it might be a good replacement for OnePlus' exit. (Moto also has a very stock Android experience, which I prefer. No heavy skins, please.)
No, a phone does not need onboard AI. In fact, I would purchase a phone that DOESN'T have AI listed as a top feature. Storage, RAM, battery, price, processor, camera (rear), and display are the big items in order of descending importance. Note AI is found nowhere on that list
I appreciate them making the back of their phones look unique but that camera layout is not it. I played with their foldable at Best Buy and it's as nice as the Samsung if not better

That's what drove me away from them in 2014. The Droid Maxx was my last Motorola device. They took several steps backwards w/ that phone. Mediocre camera, removed SD storage & had very little customization options.

I'm impressed with these specs. Between this and Lenovo-Moto's first book style Foldable, my intrest in them is seriously piqued.
Whoever approved that absolutely awful design needs to be fired at once.

They released first Signature as their best phone just several months ago. And now they are presenting another their best phone.
New phone might be good (but design is... unusual). But those who bought Signature 26 this Spring might be upset.
So let's wait few months more and get true flagship Signature 28!

As opposed to camera housings either being one big ass circle or OEM's now going for the camera plateau look?
Samsung got the 5 piece design right. This isn't even flat and flush.
