Phone arena. Yoir claim that Samsung is losing its kind over this? Shown proof or stop lying.

Again you just cant write about one company or the other without mentioning th3 two together.

The only thing Samsjngbis hoping, the device does well so they can get more money from Apple.

Samsung 8byears of experience with this form factor isn't gonna be erased with just one device from Apple.

Your false claims and oversensationlizong the title is just really stupid. Do better.

Samsung already is a ware of what Apple was doing because they made the display. Yet they managed to make a much better device.

The inside and outside of the Fold 8 is amazing and itnisnt ugly. Samsung's 1st foldable was ugly too. But there is a difference when you are making something for thr very 1st time vs Apple who had 8nyears to watch others and their 1st device is this bad.

Imagine Smasung as a car company making a car from scratch when nonetheless car existed and then Apple comes 8byears later and makes a car worse than any car made in 8 years. That is what we have here.

Your Samsung claim is a lie. If it isn't I want you to post the source. Samsung isn't worried about Apple they never been. Samsung is the world top OEM. Apple is a stain on Samsung windshield.

Didn’t you see Samsung’s breakdown on social media?

Having used the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, side-by-side multitasking is great, but anything beyond that—especially floating pop-up windows—just gets in the way and clutters the interface. That said, Apple executes split-view much better: it looks cleaner and takes fewer steps to trigger, whereas Samsung's setup feels unnecessarily tedious by comparison.

It's literally the same steps. Swiping up, grabbing an app from the multitasking menu and dragging it to the left of the right. Or you can do the same with apps of the edge panel, or using the task bar. It's 0% easier on the duo.

And no the pop up windows don't get in the way when you know how to arrange your screen or use transparency mode

I can. Here is an example. I am a technician. Many times I have my email, calculator, and also many times a banking app open at the same time on my tablet. I dont want to have to switch one of the apps all the tome. I need them both visible.

Also when I am on aacall, i have the call in the background, while I have a floor plan on one screen, calculator open to do measurements and scientific functions, and I also will have a convertor app open to math out measurements.

Many times I also have a chat windownopen in Google Chat, along with a Wahtapps chat window and email at the same time.

Everyone usage is different. Some people might wanna have 4 apps open. It is not just about webther you need ot not. Guess what yoi don't need a folding phone or a curved tv, but we have them.

When I use an even bigger screen like my tablet or laptop, sometimes I have as many as 6 different windows open, especially when I am not in a situation where I have 2 screens available.

We shouldn't be limited to things just based on device capability. Expand the capability and let us decide to use it to outlining. Limiting it out the box like this is terrible

Sure. But get a larger size foldable.

The more I read about this thing, the more it seems like an expensive gimmick. Maybe I’m just not the type of user it’s targeting.

Definitely in the same boat. I'm going to Best Buy to see if they have a demo & if so I'll come back to this & let you know my thoughts.

So, I am gonna put in a free plug for the guys here who hype chinese brands like Huawei.

I saw a video of the iPhone Duo being compared to th3 Pire X, which you can see, Apple is most certainly its evil twin.

Apple allows, 1:1 app on each screen i side, while the Pure X allows 3 plus floating windows.

Apple has a scrappy set of cameras. While the Pure X has a telephoto lens.

Apple said, they didn't put a physical SIM to save space, yet the Pura X has a dual Sim, plus an Sim too.

Th3 Pura X is 30g's lighter and still packs a 6000MaH battery.

The Pura X price? Half of what Apple wants, $800 less than what Samsung wants.

I don't like or dislike Huawei. I think they make some pretty good products which I had a chance to play with when I was in Hong Kong.

But when you consider the hardware and even though it doesn't run Android and yet the software is still way more capable vs iOS; you folks here are a joke to keep trying to prop Apple over other OEM's.

Then we get to Samsung new Fold 8. As everyone is 1st saying about Apple, yea the stupid animation is cool; but it lacks everything else. After 8 years it isn't even as good in capability as Samsjng's original 1 gen Fold.

With 8 years to study competition. The fact this site and many other continue to blow smoke up Apple arse for their scrappy less capable, overpriced, thrown together, half-baked products; really just shows on you all inferiority complex is sad.

Even Samsung device is lighter, more capable, has better cameras, better display, more features and cost a Lil less.

However, the Duo with its ripped off name; won't matter to Apple fanatics because once you have been deep rooted into Apple ecosystem, there is almost no way out. It is like a person who has smoke since the 70's trying to quit. If you dont quit cold turkey, you simply cant wean yourself off and Apple knows this.

And you alls blaming that Apple waits to make a lroduct so much better? I dunno if you all are blind or just dumb, but this product after 8 years is far worse than every oems's 1st Gen foldables.

Bit again ot won't matter. But in the videos I have seen, you can see how Apple restrictive memory management really makes this device really lame for what it costs. It a total joke.

I invite everyone to go to gsmarea and compare the Duo, Pure X and the Fold 8 or Pixel Fold and even in hardware, the iPhone Duo seriousblacks behind for all this time to have past.

8 years and it looks like Apple hasn't learn a damn thing. It's the same old BS, form over function really hurts Apple products.

They really made some huge compromises.

But it ain't cheap and in durability tests as always Samsung holds up. We all know many Apple thin devices snap in half even recently

Say what you want, but the Z Fold 8 looks really cheap.

Question, who created this market? Wasn't it Samsung? Yes! How? Because they chose 10 years ago to think outside the box. That means everyone else including Apple is now copying them. Samsung started this trend.

Remember how I said, when people copy Apple you get your panties all in a bunch, bit no mention about how Apple is copying again though right?

Apple doesn't dominate the new cycle. They released a product 8byears later that everyone else has and it just gets attention. When Samudng 1st made a folding phone, it got a lot of attention both positive and negative just like this one is doing.

When Apple released their overpriced goggles it got a lot of attention. Then it failed miserably anf you don't hear about it much now do you?

I agree with you, like all new gadgets itnis a hot topic. But look even on X they are talking aboutnits shortcomings.

Shortcomings - it absolutely heavy. Even Samsung 1st fold, or i dont think any of them weighted this much. It can only have an app on each side for now, while Samsung has had aliptscreen since the 1st Note and their goldables still can have at least 2 apps on each screen, plus floating windows. But YOU claimed it had better muktitasking. How can it with just one app on each panel, because just like the iPhone you can still only have 2 apps on the screen at anyone time. That isn't true mutitasking. Even on the iPad. Multitasking which is better, isn't even close to what Android and Windows and even OS C can do.

Thisnpo9ny alone which you highlighted yesterday proves you just a fabric with no substance.

Now I did some watching yesterday and I watch 4 videos of people giving a small impression of the device. All 4 of them lead off with one common thing, all of them spoke about the animation when you open and close. Is this really all you all can brag about for a debice that costs $2000 is how an app page fades over to the inside?

So are yoi gonna go look and ahhh everything you see it? Also all of them spoke about the weight. But then, they said after awhile the animation got annoying and are not happy you cant turn it off.

Next, the mutitasking. 1:1 app capability. This isn't 100% Apple fault. Th3 reason IOS is so lame here is because of the version of UNIX that Steve Job chose to make the NextStep OS on and us the engine for Mac OS X. That version of UNIX doesn't render graphics very well and it's multitasking is limited as it cant properly manage to many objects onscreen.

This is why Microsoft felt they coild do better and didn't use UNIX.

Right now it is hype because wow it is new. Apple after 8 years finally gets a fold and it's the talk of the town.

It really looks like Apple literallly took iPad OS and made it very dumb to squeeze it into this device.

This device shows Tim Cook is not a hardware guy like the one guy they got rid of

Once October comes and people can order th3 device you will get that last little media frenzy and then you won't hear much about it.

While all devices possess inherent limitations, the Apple Duo outperforms the Z Fold 8 in all critical areas, particularly regarding app optimization, which I look forward to demonstrating once I receive my unit. Furthermore, the device offers superior charging speeds, significantly faster processing, and higher PPI on both the inner and outer displays. Notably, the display coating effectively eliminates the crease and resolves reflection issues, as previously noted by industry experts. I suggest reconsidering your position, as the Fold 8 does not surpass the Duo in any category. During the product demonstration, the transition between screen orientations was seamless, with applications scaling perfectly to fill the display without the black bars commonly observed on Samsung devices.

He's ignorant. He has no clue; he does not own a foldable. I'm on my Galaxy Z Fold 8 ultra right now, watching the football game with the PA app side by side as I type this. Then, when I open the floating window, it looks stupid and can't be used for anything. Even right now as I type this, the YouTube TV app looks small and just doesn't look good at all. Best experience is 2 windows side by side but as usual the ignorant fan girls always make sh!t up.
