"but I think we can all agree that we will be seeing Android adopt this multitasking solution of the Duo very soon. "

Like usual....I find it interesting that an Android user has admitted that the multitasking on the iPhone Duo is superior to that of other foldable devices.

Oh I can't wait for the duo to support a stylus...and then the stories about how they damaged the VERY SOFT screen with the stylus. 😉

You and the writer seem to not be so smart. What multitasking are you talking about? One app on each panel? You can do tat already. With splitscreen you can have 2 apps on each panel and floating windows.

And here is something the Duo is so stupid. If I open 2 apps and close the screen, both aps dont show on the home screen, only one of them vs Android where if you launch 2 apps and close the screen, both apps will be split on the front display.

It is not superior., One app on each screen is not superior. You and the writer are either completely blind or completely stupid.

You can already do side by side multitasking. You can slide objects from one app to another in android. Like I can slide a phone right into an email and have it attach like it does on my PC.

Be specfic. What multitasking is the Duo doing that no other foldable is doing. I need a description because I already watch several video and all i saw was 1 app on each screen which is lame and not really multitasking at all.

"Side-by-side multitasking is the killer feature everyone is copying next year

I can't lie: although I'm an Android guy through and through, the Duo's side-by-side multitasking is outstanding.

To enter multitasking mode, you simply open an up, swipe up and hold, then choose which side to switch it to. After that, on the opposite panel, you can choose any other app to run. Each display pane of the iPhone Duo acts like a separate iPhone of sorts, allowing you to easily navigate and switch between apps with the flick of a finger. "

All folding phones already do this. What so great about this?

"However, you can't save app pairs like on a Samsung foldable, and you can't easily switch the places of the apps you've opened. In this regard, Android's best foldables are much more flexible"

I strongly disagree with the assessment of the iPhone Duo’s multitasking. In my view, the device doesn't truly multitask; it merely runs two apps side-by-side. Because these apps cannot be resized, the system is restricted to only two concurrent windows, and it lacks support for pop-up applications entirely. Calling this "true multitasking" is a stretch—the current implementation is far too limited to deserve that label.

It is worth noting that Android devices—including non-foldables—have offered more robust multitasking capabilities for years. This addition is only considered a "killer feature" because it is a long-overdue arrival for the Apple ecosystem.
