LMAO! variable aperture lens in a phone camera.

Shoot, 99% of people using a cell phone for a camera, just use the auto mode and

wouldn't have any idea the benefit of a variable aperture lens for producing great

bokeh and other aspects of changing the settings on a camera such as the

aperture, iso, shutter speed. 🤣

Complete BS, most smartphone photos are blurry "bokeh" messes because large apertures fundametnally distort light as the trade-off to let more total light in. The same exact thing happens with sensor size also shrinking "in-focus" area, which is why medium format and APS-C produce different amounts of sharpness around the subject/focus point, even with exposure and focus planes matched.

Having variable aperture available is important and you'd have to be blind to not see the benefit. It could also be utilzed in preset modes like landscape or automated focus stacking modes much easier..... and even if you were blind, it would benefit document scanning from DAY 1.
