Discussion - Does the Galaxy Z Fold 8 owe its success to the iPhone Ultra?

First it was Huawei, now it’s Samsung… but according to Anam Hamid, Apple was the original, so they should get the credit. 😂

Hey Anam, 99% of iPhone, Samsung, or Huawei buyers don’t care who designed or introduced what first on paper. They care about what the phone actually offers and how well it works and of course the brand.

Samsung’s success comes from Samsung, not Apple. Otherwise, by that logic, every other phone manufacturer, like Sony, should just copy Apple if they want to be successful.

Being the first on paper doesn’t automatically mean you get credit for everyone who comes after you.

Samsung pioneers foldables for years prior and you focus on them possibly copying apple because they went wide? I remember when internet tech journalism used their brains, but clicks push professionalism into 2nd place.

Outside of the people who follow tech, how many people actually know Apple is coming out with a foldable phone? How many non tech savvy people know Apple is RUMORED to release one because we cannot forget Apple DOES NOT currently have a foldable on the market. So how can anyone say Samsung owes their success to Apple?

Also, Royale FlexPai was the first foldable, Google Pixel fold was the first wide foldable, and you're terrible at your 1 job. Apple wasn't first with anything in the foldable space, especially the idea.
