I like wishing harm on companies like this pos T-Failed. I really hope they crash but mostly burn to the ground as I would use another word that starts with B and ends in B.

I think a big pain-point of functionality on Android is that the necessary T-life app permissions aren't automatically enabled, the app doesn't correctly call Android API's for those permissions, and users don't know how to manually enable them.

Typically just enabling the Phone permission will make initial and subsequent sign-ins, and all the app experience pretty flawless. All the other permissions are rather invasive for the app's purpose and unnecessary.

And while the phone permission isn't required in every situation, it's more helpful for the app to have it enabled, and doesn't enable any more data access than the network already has via the modem anyway (Phone permission typically enables: access your phone number and network info, required for making calls and VoIP, voicemail, call redirect, and editing call logs -- like when you mark a received call as spam).

The biggest problem with the sheepish behavior of t mobile customers is that Verizon and AT&T watch closely how this works out for t mobile. If this and other foolishness works without major customer loss, expect similar from att and Verizon soon.

I have T-Mobile but I don't have the T-Life App.

I would have left T Mobile already. However, one phone on my plan is still being paid off. As soon as it's paid off, I will switch to another carrier. They are all spectacularly bad at customer service, so I might just try Google Fi.
