The "Un-carrier" should be re-branded as the bigger and badder Carrier 2.0. All of the pain points they eliminated are now being reintroduced with even more carrier garbage. I'm wondering what Ledgre thinks of how things are changing. As for me, I am switching to an MVNO to save money. The won't have much customer service, but I am getting a better price and I won't expect customer service. None of this bait and switch nonsense. Bye bye T-Mobile.

I work for a company that sales phones in Walmart and for us we get commissions for putting people on t life for autopsy and easily reset a pin instead of hassles with customer service. Plus when your only paying $25 a line can't really complain

The biggest loss for UA with 5G Home Internet lost the administration page, total control of your Gateway, some deal with it, I purchases a Router which gives control over Ethernet Ports, not WiFi. I plan to purchase a new 5G Gateway including Router & Wufu with OperWRT Fiemware and T-Mobile is giving me $232 towards the price of a aftermarket Router.

Just yesterday my neighbor showed up at my door because of this T-life bs. Her phone was broken and unusable. She bought a new phone and was trying to set it up but the app would only send the pin to the old phone.

She came to see me because she needed a phone to call customer service. She spent several hours on hold trying to reach a person because the AI answering service couldn't understand what she was trying to do.

Something that literally should have taken seconds took her pretty much an entire day.

The issue of shedding customer service reps is in my opinion huge. As a T-Mobile long time business customer (over 9 years) I used to feel valued. You had a business line you could call and get prompt service. You could reach out on messenger and get a relatively quick response. But when there is an issue where you need to talk to someone I am finding it difficult to get any response. The new T-Mobile reminds of when I was with Verizon. There is not any kind of care for the customer. I used to sing T-Mobile's praises to family, friends and colleagues. I haven't done that for going on 2 years. I miss the old T-Mobile. Today, I waited over 2 hours on T-Mobile's Messenger page and never received a response.

I'll go one step further and say that I know a couple where both of them worked for TMobile customer service. They loved their jobs. They had been there for years.

Not anymore.

I rarely need support and anyway, I've been looking to switch carriers because of price. TMobile is not as inexpensive as I was led to believe when I switched to them about 1 1/2 years ago.

This was written in blood when ATT reconnected with its old baby bells and Verizon merged with WorldComm was allowed. The industry will downsize to a few companies that are solely interested in profits by any means. TMO got Sprint and TMO independent dealers saw a complete change in how it does business. TMO changed everything to chase away independent dealers and the company stores are next. As for CS staff, that's going to be outsourced like the other telecoms. People are an expensive roadblock to greater profits.

I was the same way that you are. You could pick up the phone and it was almost instant you would be talking to someone and they became a part of your dedicated team. I knew if I had a problem I could easily have an answer and get it fixed in a few minutes with one of the reps on the phone. Then it got harder and harder to connect to a real person, the dedicated team had disappeared, and it all went downhill quickly. When they refused to fix a simple problem with a warranty issue is when I had enough. I kicked them to the curb, went to Verizon and they are the Anti-Christ! Switched to Consumer Cellular - they are asleep at the wheel. Went to Cricket - got a great phone for cheap, haven't needed them for anything else yet. Switching to Cape Mobile next.
