Based on my experience with the Fold 8 Ultra and the recent preview, I am confident that the iPhone's iOS provides a superior user experience.Unlike most people here, I talk about what I actually own instead of bashing the ones I don't..

There is nothing wrong with bashing something you dont own. My question would be, how can you "fairly" compare a device you say you own to one you've never used.

Watching someone drive a car from theboutaidenofbit, doesn't tell you how it rides. I've seen vehicles that look like they ride smooth, like Jeeps, but instead they are stiff and hard like a truck.

I have ready seen some pretty focus thoughts on the device itself. But I takenopinionsnof th3se Apple fanatic youtubers with the proverbial grain of salt because they sensationalize things that I see as not having being done better, they just fit well in how Apple products work.

I've been looking at the demo video for the multitasking features, and it really highlights why the iPhone Duo is a step ahead. Being able to snap apps side-by-side with a single gesture is much more fluid than the multi-step swiping process required on the Z Fold 8 and Ultra. This level of software optimization is exactly why I believe the implementation is significantly better.

Can you point to any specific feature on a Google or Samsung foldable that matches this level of simplicity? With Apple’s implementation, it feels like a genuine one-touch solution without all the extra steps.

You dont even own a foldable idk why im even discussing this with you im just wasting my time.

You're discussing it because I asked you to explain what is better. You explain, then I go and look at videos and see for myself.

I looked at what you said. I have used the Galaxy Fold. I just dont own it. I have a Tas S10U, it is fine.

It doesn't take any work to snap the windows. The windows move fluid like a desktop OS unlike what Apple did.

What i saw wasnt better, I just saw Apple way which works for their device.

As I have mentioned, I own Samsung foldables, including the Fold 8 Ultra, so the differences are clear to me. I also own an iPhone 17 Pro Max and an iPad, so I am very familiar with how iOS works. To me, it is obvious just from watching the demos that the iPhone Duo offers easier multitasking and superior animations; the whole device just looks amazing. I can make an informed comparison because I actually own these devices. I will have the Duo next month, and I want to stress that I speak from experience with what I own, rather than bashing what I haven't tried. You keep talking about foldables, yet you don't actually own a device from either brand.

If n you are a fan of tech, I dont care if you are bias or not, we should be able to just talk. I dont need to own something to talk about it.

I have a personal impression of foldables. I think tbry are the same as curved TV's. It was just cool, but not practical. I think taking a tablet and folding it in have to go from a 5" display to 10 is a better solution. For th3 price of one foldsble tou can just have a real phone that is less fragile and a real tablet that is less fragile.

Having said that, it doesn't mean I am not interested. I love all gadgets and tech regardless of brand. I just think Apple approach isn't the best.

Already 3 complaints thst are very important. Th3 device is heavy. For this kind of device, heavier means easier to break, as lighter can be too.

They tried hiding the crease. But once you fold it a few 100 times it is gonna sink because as long as a device folds it is gonna have a crease. Making it less apparent isn't equal to gone.

Price. I am surprised it's $1999. But it should be less. It is less capable vs Android options.

I personally an reserving judgement until I see full reviews after the hkbeymoon period is over.

The device has a poor design vs either of Samsung's folds. It's just a shrunken Surface Duo/Pixel Fold and it is ugly considering the claim of Apple focus on detail.

They were so busy trying to not look like they were copying anything else, they actually made a worse looking device.

I don't like boxy phones period. I miss curved screens and round corners. But all 4 corners should look th3 dame, no matter how th3 devicebis made. This device forces being held in thr left hand and it has sharp edge. Samsjng latest also has sharp edges, but it is lighter.

What i saw at the event was intuitive for sure. But I wouldn't say better. It is just Apple's way. Since you prefer Apple you automatically think what they have is better.

I cant think of a tome I ever seen you criticize anything Apple does. But you crack on Samsung in a minute.

If you think Samsung products are so bad, why did you buy it? Why didn't you just wait for Apple?

For them to wait 8 years and this is the best they came up with, is kinda sad to be honest. They had 9nyears of buying other products to say what more they could do better. And they really didn't do much. But they dont care, because they know you all will just buy it anyways regardless and thst is why they literally dont out forth any effort.

Here is something a guarantee. The next model will be lighter. But they could have made it that way to begin with. They got the money anf the technology already exists. I think th3y made some dumb compromises.

I only asked your opinion, so you can open up and add some depth vs just posting a bunch of pointless one liners.

If you like Apple stuff, great. I am glad you found something that works for you. But being better to you, doesn't make it better overall.

You claim to have used these devices, but I actually own and use them every single day. My brother owns every Samsung foldable, so I have constant access to those as well—but there is a massive difference between occasionally trying a device and living with it as your daily driver.

So do me a favor, stop talking about something you don't use on a daily basis. You come here talking like you know what you're saying and you don't. Actually, unlike you, people like me spend the money and buy both every single year.

You say you're a "tech fan," but there's a difference between watching from afar and actually buying the devices. I never said Samsung is bad; I said they copy a lot and I think Google's OS is garbage. When I joke about Samsung, it's a reaction to people who trash Apple while ignoring the defects often found in Samsung's hardware.

Samsung was my main brand for a long time—I’ve used everything from the Note 2 to the Note 20, along with various S-series phones, watches, earbuds, and wearables. I’m a genuine user. I didn't like the Z Fold line until the Fold 7, but I ended up buying the Fold 7 and now the Fold 8 Ultra. I also own the iPhone 17 Pro Max. That’s the difference: I don’t just speculate based on what I see in videos; I base my opinions on what I actually use. Honestly, how can I take your criticisms seriously when you’re bashing a device you’ve never even owned?

Once you own the flagship devices from both ecosystems, the comparison becomes clear. When you integrate a Mac into the workflow, the overall experience is worlds ahead—it really is that simple.

Based on my observations, the Apple Duo offers a significantly superior and more streamlined multitasking experience, effectively setting a new benchmark that surpasses current Android capabilities. Game over android before android had no chance now forget it apple beats android at its own game.

How, it only let's you have 2 apps on the screen at once. Other devices allow as many as 4 plus floating windows. Last I checked, 4 is double what 2 is, so how is it the multitasking is better?

We dont ignore issues with Samung products. It simply doesn't happen as often and it's usually minor thinks that get fixed rather quickly.

Apple has copied far more from Android than the other way around. Like I've said, you talk smack if someone copies Apple, but you are dead as a doorknob when it's the other way around.

But you dont have the duo and you said the multitasking was better, but you didn't use it. You stated, " you observed" bit you just told me I cant make a judgment call unless I buy, but yet you did it.

Hypocritical much?

So from what I seen, you are limited to how many apps can be seen on the screen at any one tile. Mist tablets alow as many as 4. Samsjng devixes allow 4, plus floating windows. How many does the Duo allow? Someone said only 2. If that is true, then how can yoi say the multitasking is better. If I can have 4 apps on the screen and if it can only have 2, isnt 4 more than 2?
