Dude, I have the Z Fold 8 Ultra and I love it, don't get me wrong, but what Apple just did is incredible; the UI tricks are amazing, and the way they showed multitasking, I have to say that Apple beat Google at its own game. That iOS version on the Duo is worlds ahead of Android. I can't wait to get mine so I can compare them side by side, and remember, my Z Fold 8 Ultra is the best from Samsung. When you open the iPhone, that animation it gives transitioning from one screen to another just looks amazing, not a black screen like other OEMs.

you nailed it with one word - TRICKS 🤣

Call it whatever you want, but they did it a lot better than everyone else. You can’t deny that when you see it opening, the transition outshines the competition by miles. It’s just crazy how they thought of everything; hands down the best device of 2026.

Based on my observations, the Apple Duo offers a significantly superior and more streamlined multitasking experience, effectively setting a new benchmark that surpasses current Android capabilities. Game over android before android had no chance now forget it apple beats android at its own game.

What is the better multitasking experience. You don't even have the device. All you seen is videos.

Explain what is better and please let it be something we don't have already.

The only lame thing they are talking about, is that lame when opening the device.

When I hear these tech sites of creators talk about things that are maybe just cool, but not really beneficial; then it is a tell tell sign they ain't got nothing.

All folding phones are cool. But it needs to have substance. Android already natively supports folding devices. IOS natively does not. All they did was take the iPad apps and basically resized the app pages and moved some elements around. Not picking on them, that is what they all do or did. Android did years ago just take the phone OS and blow it up, until they made Android natively support the higher res and larger screens.

IOS was the same until Apple made native iPad apps to make you lovers pay for the exact same app a second time. Something I have never had to do. Please deny this is fact.

It is better. Several tech reviewers said Apple really missed alot because they were so worried about as per usual, form over function.

The device is heavy. I recalled you once attacking Android phones for having bezel sometimes that were a different size on top and bottom. Apple made the device which the size of the device you are forced to use, because they put the dock on the side. And unless you can move it to the other side, which you likely cant because all the apps have been designed to deal with this sitting on th3 screen.

It is better on Samsung devices, because the side bar is hidden until you need it, you can put it on either side of the screen.

This allownis better mutitasking. Because the Duo is basically favors a right handed person. What happens if you are a lefty.

Also, having curved sides on just one side is dumb. Sure when you open it, it looks even and OK. But you know how you all complained about Smasung phones with curved screens and how you lose screen space. Well you do here too. At the curve there is less screen space and the camera cutout is in a really bad spot and really obvious.

It is good it will work with the Apple pencil. However, you risk losing it since you gotta carry it separate. Putting it in a silo or have something on thr side to really hold it would be better. But magnets? Lame!

Why not just copy Samsung here and use a silo? People who doubt use a pencil with an iPad, isn't gonna just buy one for this device either.

I wanna know what you observed that you think is so great. Apple has to make things work a certain way, to work within Apple restriction.

Doing the same task slightly different, doesn't always mean it is better.

The only thing impressive is n it's only $2000. But when you consider all its shortcomings, it shouldn't cost more than the Fold 8 at all. It's not better, it is just different.

Fair enough. I use both, but I'm real about it—just because I own a $2,700 Z Fold 8 doesn't mean I won't admit when the iPhone is obviously better. I knew this was coming; I have been saying for a long time now that the time has come. A lot of people just hate on Apple, but deep inside they know Apple just killed it. A passport-style foldable Apple just beat everyone, like it or not; that is my point.

Question. Since you have never used the Duo, how can you just say it's better? What is it better at? Be specific. Give me some context so I understand what I could be missing.

I am always open to discuss differences of opinion. I just don't like fanatical BS.

You apple fans never have substance yo your argument. I want you to just tell me 3 things you saw about Apple device that can be done on Android and explain how what Apple did is better.

I don't own a folding phone so I can only ask on your experience.

You cant just look at a car and just say it's better than another one, especially if you never drove it. Now I am speaking of cars in the same category.

Looks are subjective period. Regardless of what you are talking about.

I watched the event. I only wanted to see the part when they showed the Duo. I didn't see anything groundbreaking.

What I saw was basically what I have seen on the iPad. And the iPad multitasking is not all that great at all.

I've been looking at the demo video for the multitasking features, and it really highlights why the iPhone Duo is a step ahead. Being able to snap apps side-by-side with a single gesture is much more fluid than the multi-step swiping process required on the Z Fold 8 and Ultra. This level of software optimization is exactly why I believe the implementation is significantly better.

Can you point to any specific feature on a Google or Samsung foldable that matches this level of simplicity? With Apple’s implementation, it feels like a genuine one-touch solution without all the extra steps.

You dont even own a foldable idk why im even discussing this with you im just wasting my time.

This is coming from someone who clearly hasn't owned a foldable (you). You type a lot, but you have no clue what you're talking about. For those of us who actually own and use foldables (ME), and after comparing the iPhone Duo through hands-on reviews and footage, it’s clear the Duo is in a different league. From the animations to the multitasking, it is significantly better in every single category. There is simply no comparison.

if this is the only thing you are raving about, then you should already know that any visual trick will not be noticeable after a few weeks / months depending on the mind of a person looking at it. and as you claim to have both Android and iOS devices, then you should know better than Sammy's folds do the same thing without tricks - just open and the screen is there with your own layout that you can customize on either screen. To me this is worth way more than any visual trick. Cheers
