When it comes to the foldable form factor samsung does it best in my opinion. Yes apple added some things in its first gen fold itself that others should have done earlier if not in their first gen folds, but the fold 8 is the best foldable form factor and best thought out form factor in my opinion. As for its sharp edges I am sure they would be taken care of in the next gen version of its product given that fold 8 form factor too is first gen.

Android and Apple devices will both exist.

Preslav definitely a shill acting like Apple is the 1st wide foldable when Huawei is on their 2nd wide foldable and Samsung and Xiaomi on their 1st. All released before Apple:s foldable.

I don't think it's bad to share which device your more impressed by. This is why the adage that patience has greater rewards is true. Because Apple waited they could see all the things their competitors didn't do and then implement it into their device. If they can maintain the integrity of their updates it will be a successful competitor for Samsung and others in the foldable marker.

Fair enough. I use both, but I'm real about it—just because I own a $2,700 Z Fold 8 doesn't mean I won't admit when the iPhone is obviously better. I knew this was coming; I have been saying for a long time now that the time has come. A lot of people just hate on Apple, but deep inside they know Apple just killed it. A passport-style foldable Apple just beat everyone, like it or not; that is my point.

Dude, I have the Z Fold 8 Ultra and I love it, don't get me wrong, but what Apple just did is incredible; the UI tricks are amazing, and the way they showed multitasking, I have to say that Apple beat Google at its own game. That iOS version on the Duo is worlds ahead of Android. I can't wait to get mine so I can compare them side by side, and remember, my Z Fold 8 Ultra is the best from Samsung. When you open the iPhone, that animation it gives transitioning from one screen to another just looks amazing, not a black screen like other OEMs.

Apple perfected it; it's as simple as that. Look at the crease—it’s practically non-existent. The matte screen makes the device feel incredibly premium, and honestly, the Z Fold 8 looks cheap by comparison. The animations when opening and closing the phone are seamless, whereas on the Z Fold, the transition often feels jarring as one screen turns black. It is amazing how Apple has clearly thought of every detail.

While Samsung removed their under-display camera, Apple simply adapted it, and I guarantee that camera implementation is perfect. I give Samsung credit for being the first to try these features, but I give far more credit to Apple for actually perfecting them. Samsung has a habit of introducing features like pen support, under-display cameras, or variable apertures, only to remove them when they hit a roadblock. Apple, on the other hand, takes the time to refine these technologies until they are polished and ready for the real world.

Honestly I had been waiting for the slathering of iPhone fans about how this is the best most amazing thing.

You all do know that Microsoft released their first folding phone a couple years ago called..... Wait for it... The Duo. Look it up . So apple has lost their creative ways. Oh. Also the new apple duo , heavier and thicker than the fold 8.
