I mean one year upgrades are never really worth it anymore cuz the pace of improvement slowed quite a lot. I would agree anybody with a pixel 8 or older would probably find this to be a pretty good upgrade but if you have a 9 or a 10 probably not worth upgrading unless your person that always has to have the newest.

The problem, too, is that the base model iPhone was so heavily upgraded just last year that now all of a sudden to Phone Arena every phone that's come out afterwards just isn't enough. Don't get me wrong, Samsung has been complacent af these last 2 years, but they're not alone. Meanwhile, you have OEM's like Oppo & Vivo that make significant upgrades year after year; even if it's solely in the camera department.

No desire at all in upgrading to Pixel 11. My Pixel 10 Pro is great and will most likely get several of the software newness from the 11 in time anyway.

I guess Aman isn't ready to abandon writing bad articles.

Taking a page out of Apple's book. Wow, what an "upgrade" across the line of devices.

I don’t blame Pixel users for wanting to abandon the series; the lack of meaningful hardware improvements combined with the price hike makes this generation a difficult sell for anyone who already owns a recent model. Its Pure JUNK

I am keeping my 9Pro XL for the same reason I didn't get the 10 series.

My phone does what I need, and the "improvements" are not worth even

with the trade in, wasting money on a new device.

Unless your phone is broken, I do not understand the "gotta have a new

one each year" mentality.

And unfortunately, with LITTLE competition in the United States market, why should the likes of Apple, Samsung, Google bother trying to innovate upgrades? The pretty much have a stranglehold on the U.S. market. Most still buy under contract at carrier stores. Carrier stores probably have "under the table deals" with Apple, Samsung, Google to pretty much push those three brands and ignore what few other devices they have in their stores.

If Oppo, Huawei (with 100% access to google), Honor etc were allowed into the U.S. market, perhaps "the big three" would make some headway in design & innovation.

Mobile SoC Architecture is relatively mature. The expectation of dramatic improvements every year is irrational. However, the marginal improvements we do get are likely to provoke a backlash if Google is forever playing catch up to previously missed opportunities while continuing to compound the problem by missing yet again. I'm definitely looking forward to a much faster modem & TPU and a new security chip but I'm disappointed Google chose to delay TSMC's 2nm process. I'm hoping the new cpu will surprise me but the 2nm process would've made it all snap.
