A. It's Elon Musk.

B. It's Starlink, aka satellite connectivity. It's not going to be optimum in all conditions.

C. I'm Batman. I can do whatever. The carriers answer to ME.

This would be a good thing. We really need more disruption and change in the industry. The Big Three have been playing by the same old rules for years, and consumers often feel like they have no choice but to go along with them. Innovation and disruption create healthier competition, and that’s something businesses don’t always want because it forces them to compete for your business. I’m all for having more options and companies that actually value your business rather than treating you like cattle simply because they know you have nowhere else to go. IMO, more competition is better for everyone.

The "big three" in wireless communication remind me of the "big three" in the auto industry until the mid 70's. Ford, GM, Chrysler pretty much owned the American & a lot of the other auto markets...UNTIL the "oil crisis" came along. Japan quickly brought in inexpensive cars that had good gas mileage and the era of the "land yacht" cars was over and it took the U.S. auto industry around a decade to start to catch up. By then, the Japanese had really gotten a foothold on the U.S. auto market, which has expanded to South Korea, Germany and others. If BYD is ever allowed in the U.S. The former big three might as well just go out of business from what I've heard about the Chinese cars.
