Nothing against apple, Android does it too. But, it's reason #1 when a new device or OS hits the public, I WAIT a while before installing the new OS or buying a new phone. 😉

I have the 17 Pro Max, and it seems like since the 18 Pro/Pro Max came out, it has been having issue with FaceID as well. Friday, Sat, & Sun I have gone to use my device when pulling out of my pocket and FaceID basically doesn't activate. I'll be looking at my device and nothing happens. It still has the padlock showing the display is locked. I try swiping up, and nothing happens. I have to hit the power button 2-3 times for it to recognize I'm trying to open it.

🤣 But but but Tuga said iOS is mostly exempt from major bugs and glitches. That only happens on Android and the Pixels.

I read and watched videos about this BUG/FLAW last week, and had mentioned to someone last Saturday at a birthday party that this week we would be hearing about it. I did not get into details but there you go, we start the week with the new Iphone BUGS/FLAWS. I feel it's becoming the new normal, it's a tradition after the new Iphones are released.

It remains to be seen how effectively this issue will be resolved, as this phase is critical. I anticipate a swift resolution within two days, contrasting with the persistent display defects noted in the Samsung S26 series since March, which remain unaddressed. We shall observe how Apple manages this process.

Unlike Samsung or Pixel, Apple historically maintains long-term commitment to its product features. The current challenge with the under-display infrared sensor appears to be a minor technical glitch rather than a fundamental design flaw. Given Apple’s strategic approach, they are likely to refine and resolve this issue rather than abandon the technology, representing a significant difference in product development philosophy.

I think you're mistaking this with the S series display defect; that's definitely the norm for Samsung, as every single device since the S21 series has had defective screens, including your s26u

Every manufacturer deals with bugs, but Apple typically addresses them much faster than Android competitors. For example, Samsung has unresolved issues for over six months, and the Pixel's track record is even worse. In my view, Apple's software issues are significantly less severe by comparison.

There is no objective dataset showing Apple consistently fixes bugs faster than Samsung or Google. Apple also has its share of long-running bugs, so it's inaccurate to suggest only Android manufacturers struggle with unresolved issues or to suggest that Android and Google don't respond as quickly as Apple with bug fixes. But you've proven on here time and time again to be super defensive when it comes to Apple so I don't expect you to show any level of objectivity. I really don't think you're interested in an actual legitimate debate about the topic, just pushing the Apple narrative ad-nauseum.
