I would get a screen less version if I could do more than just track health.

What we have learned this year is that Apple is in fullblown catching up mode. No own innovation going on.

Duo.. a copy from Huawei.

New features in Apple Watch and Fitness+... copy from Huawei.

Screenless band.. copy from Google and Garmin.

iPhone 18-series.. copied the looks from Xiaomi and trying to catch-up. But can't. Still mid-tier in most regards.

It is becoming a consistent pattern for Apple to wait for other companies to develop and prove major features—such as variable aperture, anti-reflective displays, and Always-On tech—before releasing their own versions. Now, they are following suit with screenless fitness trackers, a category that has been standard for Android OEMs for years. While Apple supporters focus on superficial updates like wallpapers and themes, it is clear that Android users continue to drive innovation. The reality is that Apple is increasingly acting as a follower rather than a pioneer in the mobile space. But wait, this year Apple created the "Folding Phone" lol.....

I'm definitely on board with this idea. It’s time for Apple to enter this space; the Apple Watch is already second to none, and this is another opportunity for them to demonstrate their industry leadership. I don't want to disparage Samsung, as I actually enjoy Samsung Health, but the overall user experience is where Apple excels. I frequently encounter sync issues with the Samsung Ring on my Fold 8 Ultra—often requiring me to force-close and reopen the app to get it working—which is exactly why I'm excited about the possibility of an Apple band and potentially a ring in the future. Apple rarely rushes products to market, preferring to perfect them first. We saw that with the iPhone Duo, which, in my opinion, offers a more polished hardware and software experience than the current foldable leaders (samsung)imo.
