The photos from the Galaxy S26 Ultra look noticeably faded (except 2) compared to the iPhone 18 Pro Max

I generally like the cameras from my 17pro and haven't taken a single picture with the 18pro yet. One thing iPhones struggle with is retaining colour in colored LED and neon lights. The Samsung does a far better job there.

I think the Samsung phones look more detailed in all but some selfie shots. However photo preference is highly subjective and aside from obvious things like sharpness/blur as one example. Some people prefer cooler looking photos, some warmer, some brighter some with more shadow detail. This is why some people prefer different color and contrast settings on tvs.

Look, both are pretty mid, especially when compared to Xiaomi, Vivo and Oppo; they are a LONG way behind. Prefer Samsung in most, Apple just crushed low-light shadows and this yellow hue they insist on putting over everything just takes all the personality out of a photo. The less said about Apple's zoom the better, what an embarrassment for such an expensive phone.

Yeah, gotta love the iPhone's complete lack of shadow detail in low-light, worst in class zoom quality, and disgusting yellow hue. Incredible photos' otherwise though huh.
