I own the iPhone 17 Pro Max and iPhone Air. Apple is lagging behind the competition

Do you have different case uses for both devices? Also, other than the obvious (better battery & cameras on the Pro Max), what're your pros & cons between the 2?

The Max is a company phone while the Air is my personal one. I came from using a Motorola flagship which most people think aren't even THAT great. Some gripes are related to software glitches on 3rd party apps. Funny that Apple sheeps will defend Apple saying that if a 3rd party app freezes, lags etc, it's because app developers didn't optimize the software while when Android 3rd party apps do the same, it's the X Android phone's fault. But aside from those software quirks, it's still the slow charging of iPhones that get into me and the AVERAGE battery life for both. The main pro that i can say about iPhones is the superior video recording quality. Only Samsung flagship devices can match the quality when it comes to exposure, transition between different lenses etc.

Nobody has noticed that apple lost their creativity??

You do know Microsoft released a folding phone called .... The Duo only years ago? The new Duo from apple looks like a pixel 10 pro fold. And its also heavier and thicker than the fold 8. So, they name it after a dud / failed device. Make it look like a pixel fold. And its heavier and thicker than it's competition. So exactly where is the awe and inspiring ? In a fading transition effect when you open and close the screen.

Good to see you back on here, bro bro! Have you seen the Huawei Pura X View? I hope that form factor makes its way to the States, or should I call it The American Americas of America by the time 45/47 gets done with it.

Sadly, never happen. Oh, you might be able to import one, but, getting it to work on the American networks might be hard. I'm sure the IMEI isn't "allowed" or in their network.

The biggest hold up would be no "easy" access to the apps on the google play store. Banking/security apps probably won't work. Yeah, there are work arounds, but the bulk of consumers don't know how to do it.

Wish Huawei would be allowed. I'd get one in a heartbeat. Before my past two pixels, my previous three phones were Huawei phones.

The ban on Huawei is ridiculous. Imagine if the iPhone were still only exclusive to AT&T. There's no way it would have as many users as it's had from 2011-present. No carrier is worth millions of millions flocking to just because of a phone.

We have all this other competition with cars, TV's, etc. but only 2 real main powerhouse OEM's in the States.

The 2 reasons I got my first iPhone in 2022 was to become more familiar with iOS & to daily use one to show the fanboys on here & "tech 𝕏" that neither are perfect. I have videos of my iPhone freezing, lagging, etc. on multiple occasions but of course that means nothing to the fanboys.

Unless I'm FaceTiming a lot throughout the day, I don't use my iPhone enough for charging & battery life to be an issue. But those who do still claim it has great battery life, but they don't use FaceTime. One 20 minute FaceTime call is dropping the battery by 20%.

I prefer the Google 11 Fold, the form factor is a regular phone when closed. That is how I use it 80% of the time. Always nice to unfold but the majority of the time I used it closed.

Im pretty sure Huawei phones are allowed to work in US networks, i have seen many peoples using them with ATT and Tmo networks, they work just fine.

Oh ..so we can have an under screen camera? Wonder if this site will complain about it...pffft we already know what that answer is

Yes, we do. If Android has it, it's still a developing feature and needs improvement in future generations.

If Apple does it, it's perfect on the first try!!!! **rEvOlUtIoNaRy**

It's near the end of 2026, and people are still on tech sites saying Huawei devices cannot access apps from a certain place easily, or are hard to get to work on American networks lol.

Huawei devices are allowed on U.S. networks, specifically the ones mentioned by ojames, and they do work fine. And with Huawei releasing global 5G devces, they will work even better now. They also easily access Android apps that are on the play store, by using app stores and services built for Huawei devices that are baked into the device or available through Huawei's own app store (HarmonyOS -- App stores/Android Emulators: EasyAbroad is available on Huawei's app store, DroiTong and its services are baked in. EMUI -- MicroG services and GBox are available in Huawei's app store). EasyAbroad and DroiTong are as easy to use as any other app store, as is GBox, and MicroG services are downloaded on EMUI Huawei devices via the Huawei app store. After installing MicroG services, you can easily download the Aurora Store from the web, for an immersive and Google free alternative to the Play Store.

https://auroraoss.com/

Banking apps also work fine on Huawei devices. I have 3 banking apps on my Huawei devices, and PayPal. All work normally.

I've mentioned most of this directly to p51d007 before, but deaf ears and all that, I guess. Some people who don't use current Huawei devices don't know what works on them, and instead of researching, because the information is everywhere, they choose to stick to falsehoods.
