Better battery life is a good thing but to be honest, my current S25 Ultra's battery life is not problematic. I think even more efficient components with a moderate battery increase would be a welcome change. I don't care how big a battery you stuff into a phone, it will never be enough for many people.

I don't know, man. If I can take my battery off the charger at 6AM Monday & not have to put it on the charger until Wednesday afternoon or Wednesday night & can get 6½ hours SoT each day I'd be plenty satisfied. And hopefully by the time the battery starts to degrade it'll be time to upgrade.
You are not most people and i think you are fooling yourself. First its Monday to Wed. for awhile then why not till Friday, then Sunday etc. Look at the history of the human race. People have always complained about what they didn't have but when they did get it they always want more. This is almost a 100% historical fact. Improve a camera; needs to be better, faster SOC; not fast enough, etc. etc. etc. (and this goes beyond phones to basically everything in the world). Maybe you are better and more unique than all other humans. Can't make that judgement as I am just a lowly flawed human like most people😁
I'm definitely not fooling myself. You're also confusing evolution with Eve complex. Eve didn't bite the forbidden fruit because she wanted to evolve. She did it because she wanted more than the abundance of which God had already provided her. Who doesn't want something that's already good to get better if it can? Just because certain people like to settle & accept complacency doesn't mean others can't want something to evolve.
Like you said, I'm not most people, which means I have common sense when it comes to technology. Remember, according to Hasbro, Matel, etc. we should've been in flying cars & had actual hoverboards10 years ago, but that's not the case. If we still, in 2026 don't have full screen smartphones with excellent UDC's why would I think a phones' battery would last a work week w/o needing to be charged? 🤦🏽
This may surprise you but i am in 100% agreements with you on unrealistic technology expectations and applause your common sense. This is why I inferred you may be different from the vast majority of people i encounter in the world, which you confirmed, who tend to want everything for nothing yesterday..Yes evolution is highly desirable as the first computers i worked on had discreet TTL circuits and filled up to 5 floors of an office building.
Personaly, I currently get about 3 days usable battery life out of my S25 Ultra but I limit the max charge to 90% (via battery settings), use my tablet rather than my phone for texting, gaming, etc. I am retired and the main workout my phone gets is powering Android Auto, streaming music and listening to audio books on Audible at the gym. I would welcome a decent bump in usable battery life but only if it is through a reliable technology with equal to or better charge cycles than Lion cells. I think the jury is still out on whether SiC is this solution but indications appear to be hopeful. Have a blessed day.
Oh I know, which is why I didn't throw any jabs or insults at you. I like that you're biased towards Samsung, but not in an unrealistic way to where you don't acknowledge their faults. Rather, you state what you like based on your needs.

I'm with you on this. I really want to see if Samsung adopting SiC batteries will make a difference. I don't recall anyone on this site saying they use one of the Chinese joints that has a 7,000+ mAh SiC battery & said they went the same timeframe as you between charges but with 8+ hours of SoT. Everyone is more about super duper fast charging, which is overrated IMO because you're not always around a charger.
But hopefully Samsung will at least try out different battery tech & if it doesn't work, just go back to what they were originally using.
