This is exactly what I’ve been saying: Samsung consistently develops relevant, meaningful features—like the privacy display and anti-reflective screen technology—that actually make a difference. While other manufacturers focus on superficial updates like wallpapers or themes, Samsung’s commitment to genuine innovation truly sets them apart. Can't wait to see what the S27 series will bring and an update to the privacy display. As I have been saying, these are features worth copying that add an upgrade to the user experience.

I used to feel the same way, but I have found a use for it that Samsung never talks about.

My wife used to complain about the light from my phone when she went to sleep before me. Now I have the privacy set to go on automatically every night at 9:30 and she says it never bothers her any more.

Now this is definitely a good use-case for it, because in the same scenario for me I have to dim the display in order for it to be at a comfortable brightness while in the dark whereas you still get the brightness level you want without disturbing her. Brilliant!

This has already been tested and proven to be false. If someone is near you, they can see your screen. The only thing that will prevent unwanted viewing, is if someone is outside of the phone's viewing angle so the screen can't be seen. But if they are at such an extreme angle, the privacy screen isn't doing anything anyway. All it does is increase eye strain, and ruin the screen.

Samsung had nothing to do with the development of the Anti-reflective glass. Corning invented it, Samsung just bought it and added it to their flagship.

The privacy screen is a gimmick, and does not work.
