Discussion - T-Mobile announces "Nothing," allowing the purchase of a new phone for $0 down

So Tmobile is going to force you to stay with them and extra year and then make you pay for the whole device. How soon before you get "nothing" for trade ins.

Oh goodie! More buy now pay later nonsense. If you can't afford to buy one, then why put it on a high interest rate plan? You know T-Mobile isn't doing this out of the kindness of their heart.

These are zero percent interest. Why pay cash when you can finance it FOR FREE?

So I guess my Motorola razr ultra 2025 is my last T-Mobile phone then, after that I'll keep paying for my Go5G Plus plan and MAYBE the protection plan, and buy phones off Amazon for 0% interest if I wanna do installments on it

Tmobile always had zero percent interest EIPs but they were 24 months and if you had a current enough phone for trade in it was pretty much free or almost free after credits. This one just forces you to stay with them 36 months and no mention if they plan to keep their trade in credits after the change.

Unless you have a free phone line you're better off with Mint or US Mobile because it's the same TMobile service at a cheaper price. I only still have Tmobile because of my 2 free lines and the generous credits they gave for phone trade ins. If they switch to 36m financing I might be ready to take my 8 lines elsewhere.
