A discussion is a place, where people can voice their opinion, no matter if it
is positive, neutral or negative. However, when posting, one must stay true to the topic, and not just share some
random thoughts, which are not directly related to the matter.
Things that are NOT allowed:
Off-topic talk - you must stick to the subject of discussion
Offensive, hate speech - if you want to say something, say it politely
Spam/Advertisements - these posts are deleted
Multiple accounts - one person can have only one account
Impersonations and offensive nicknames - these accounts get banned
To help keep our community safe and free from spam, we apply temporary limits to newly created accounts:
New accounts created within the last 24 hours may experience restrictions on how frequently they can
post or comment.
These limits are in place as a precaution and will automatically lift.
Moderation is done by humans. We try to be as objective as possible and moderate with zero bias. If you think a
post should be moderated - please, report it.
Have a question about the rules or why you have been moderated/limited/banned? Please,
contact us.
In this case, I think the public's right to privacy is more important than your right to mod your property. If you are out in the world recording people there should be a way to tell you are recording.
Depends. If the public is out in public, there is no right to privacy.
I don't get the obsession with "I don't consent to be photographed" while you are out and about. You are already being tracked everywhere by your own cellphone/wearables. Then the streets are covered with traffic cameras. Every business has cameras inside that track your every move. The parking lots are covered too. So, what are you trying to prevent?

I'm not talking about random people walking on the street.
Suppose you are talking to your friends out in public. You might gossip about your friends, say crude things, any number of things you wouldn't want to share with the entire world. If you're told you are being filmed, you might not share your opinion of your mother-in-law. Suppose you are not told you are being filmed and that recording of you talking smack about your MIL gets back to your wife.
What if you're at work talking to your co-workers. You say something about your boss that bugs you. your co-worker who was recording you without your knowledge sends it to your boss. now he gets the promotion instead of you.
Again...public. Nothing is private there. As far as coworker recording you without your knowledge, may depend on if the state is a single party consent or dual party consent.

I'll take the light that can't be hidden.
