long term Pixel user but I'm done with their crumbs for dumbs approach to mobiles.

They are like BMW, thinking just because there is a BMW badge on the front people will buy it. Nothing they do is worthy of attention . Everything they offer is a 'me too' and 'just about good enough'. They are so far behind the curve where mobiles are and going.

Pixel have something like 3% of world sales but act as if they are important in the market. They're not, they are a minnow end of and should be treated as such.

they are important in the market, because it's Google...they def are not a minnow..pixel isn't a separate company, your comment makes it seem like it is lol. They aren't as far behind as you say - Google has always stuck to the same identity with the Pixels phones, software being a priority with the hardware matching that philosophy. They don't make hardware to rival competitors, they adapt it to their product, for better or worse. I still like Pixels as an alternative to Apple and Sammy which dominate the US market.

Most of the AI tools you use like an image editor , generation etc. are cloud-based with minimum local AI involved. 16GB is way above our needs and SoC, graphics and optimization as a whole are much more important than just RAM. I remember my S22 Ultra back in the day with 12GB RAM, that carppy Exynos 2200 was getting hot in few minutes of zoom call, everything starts lagging, phone drops 120hz for 60 or so, and why do i need 16GB of RAM while my phone struggles at a basic video call with no other apps or background tasks involved? With 12GB of RAM!

It's been more than 2 years since i got rid of it but i've seen faster and colder devices, working much better with 8GB RAM even if it's UFS 3.1 and not even 4. So, not everything is RAM.
