It is truly embarrassing that Google's latest Tensor G6 chip is barely outperforming a three-year-old processor like the Apple A16 Bionic. At this price point, consumers should expect top-tier performance that actually competes with modern flagship standards, not hardware that lags so far behind.

Pretty sure the most embarrassing here is that you do refer to Geekbench as a reliable source. You do know Primate Labs is tightly related to Apple? And that Geekbench originally was made to favour Apple? The creator was mad about how poorly Apple processors performed in synthetic tests.

It's no secret that Geekbench changed their testing-method to favour Apple even more, between version 5 and 6... The M1 went from 1699 points to 2355. While the competing models almost didn't change at all.

Oh...if we instead do look at non biased testing-software. Tensor G6 is only 11% slower than Apple A19, according to AnTuTu benchmarks.

I think this is the most telling statement right here: "crappy Tensor performance" while also giving miserable battery life, and poor connectivity (if the phone is constantly searching for a signal, it further exacerbates the reduced battery life).

No part of the Pixel phone has been a Flagship ever since they first put the sub-par Tensor in the Pixel 6. Why do people keep buying them...?

The pixel phones should remain cheaper than the iPhone counterparts until their chip performance meets parody or exceeds it. However, name one thing that the iPhone can do that the pixel can't do just as easily except gaming at the highest bit rates which is niche
