Discussion - Don't obsess over the crease, Samsung—the Galaxy Z Fold 9 will be a hit anyway

I don't know what will happen 2-3 months from now, but the crease is basically non existent to the touch and it's invisible unless you hold the phone at an angle with the screen off.

The irony is that it took a rumour and device that does not even exist to change fold from banana shape. And this is a company who pioneered foldables. That's a fact I don't have an answer to when apple sheeps mention it.

So I'm on V3 with the matte film. Never ever got bothered with a crease. I think they can't get any slimmer so now it went to crease direction. Hopefully all those who did not buy foldables because of it will buy them now n

Your profile says member since yesterday, so clearly (at least on this site) you missed the video from like 2-3 years ago where they showed 3D printouts of Folds ranging from the size of the Fold 8 to the Fold 8 Ultra. 🤦🏽

A few months ago, PhoneArena reported that Samsung would beat Apple to a creaseless design, but that turned out to be inaccurate. Now, the rumors are shifting to the Galaxy Z Fold 9. How reliable are these reports? It feels like clickbait. As someone who owns the Fold 7 and has the Fold 8 Ultra on order—and who plans to buy the foldable iPhone when it launches—the crease simply doesn't bother me. It’s an inherent part of the foldable experience.

Unfortunately Samsung laid an egg and didn't included on any of the three models. Crazy.

Anyone else out there getting the feeling that the all of the tech media fawning over the sales explosion of the Fold 8 there's nothing more than placement ads paid for by Samsung? Something doesn't feel right about it.

Now, I'm not against the device at all, because it's actually pretty cool. But, I just keep seeing the same story over and over just like fake news media when it comes to politics etc. I'm wondering if the fix is in and we end up with a device next go around that doesn't even get produced. 🤷
