4 is a death number in Chinese culture. All Chinese OEMs skip it.

1/1.3 is still way smaller than Oppo Vivo and the monster 1" on the low light leading Xiaomi

Those 1" sensors are even 1". MBKHD already stated thst as fact. And it isn't always the size of your gun that counts.

From what I seen of the pics taken with those cameras, other than being brighter; they don't look any better.

While in Hong Kong, the airport terminal is a fancy mall with fancy stores. I stopped at an electronics store to get a 1st time look at Huawei and other Chinese brands of phones.

The guy let me take some pictures and I compared it to my my S22U that I had at the time.

The pics were brighter, but it didn't to well in low light.

1st I tried a Mate, then an X200 or X300 I believe it was. It took ok pics too.

The phones with their chrome finishes looked shiny an amazing, but nothing else impressed me. Not much I could do since the UI was in Chinese.

I will say I would be nice if they were sold in the US so at least I could use it on my carrier of choice, not be forced to use ATT or TMO.

Numbers on phones have never told the true story of what they can do.

I would assume the majority of us who come on this site, live in th3 US; so thus we don't have access to those Chinese brands of phones. Any reference to them pretty much just falls on death ears.

But I have seen plenty of videos and photos taken and I don't find them all that impressive. Other than brighter and ever so slight sharper images and videos, they weren't all that much better than what Samsung phones are doing.

I am sure Samsung will move to those at the point it can no longer improve it's 200MP sensor. Those Chinese phones don't do any better than the HPx sensor series. But it is only my opinion based on limited experience with other options.

I'm not a photographer and I really find any reference to phones cameras as a joke regardless of brand. If real high quality photos or videos were what people want, nothing will ever top a DSLR dedicated option.
