Wait so removing the telephoto lens and charging more for the base model? Does Google understand that It'll be DOA? No one will buy the base model if that's the case.
I think its time Google give up the hardware game. Of any OEM they've fallen behind the most, terrible camera hardware, awful battery, worst CPU on the market. Just not worth flagship pricing anymore.
Wrong, At least In the USA & CDA it's Apple or Samsung the only viable alternative is PIXEL...they are also the best value when the special pricing applies which happens on a regular basis...like when they are on pre order like next week! The one thing that is true they need to up there game on software bugs.
No big deal. The standard has obviously been set when manufacturers started guaranteeing years of OS updates. You're not supposed to buy a new phone every year. They add maybe 1 or two new hardware things each year where if you really want that new thing, go for it, but otherwise you're year old phone will be the new phone when it gets ors pixel drop.
It kinda makes sense to go with every 2 years. So for example, if you had a pixel 9 you skip the 10 unless you really want pixel snap. Then you get the 11 and you get pixel snap and pixel glow. Then you would skip the 12 since it won't be much different.
A couple of caveats. If you can afford it and you want it. Get it. But you know what you are getting.
But don't keep your phone forever unless you can afford to buy whatever you want in the future. I wouldn't hold a phone more than two years because you lose the trade in value and have to spend more out of pocket on the new phone.
The message to Pixel fanatics is: don't buy the Series 11 so that Google reconsiders and corrects the mess they've made with the Series 12. Boycott mediocrity!
