I’ve been saying this all along: there is no doubt that Apple’s AI is significantly better than Google’s. It was only missing the revamped Siri. Having compared them side-by-side, there is a lot that Google simply cannot do. For example, if you ask Google what you did two days ago and then ask Siri the same thing, you will be very surprised by the difference in the outcome.

Gemini: *wink*... I'm not stalking you, so can't do that. And even if I could I wouldn't tell you, since I care about privacy.

Siri: 7:00 AM – I woke you up. Then you unplugged the phone from the charger and immediately started checking your favorite websites.

8:00 AM – After some enthusiastic... stretching exercises, you made sure everything was properly cleaned up before getting out of bed....1 hour later.

9:00 AM - Breakfast.

9:10 AM - Spent quite some time browsing......through.....oh....those sites again?! Half an hour later you yelled "Clean-up crew and hazmat team requested in Isle 67". Then you got dressed.

10:00 AM - Start of another intense workout session involving.... excellent hand coordination.

10:30 AM - iPhone battery is running low. Charger connected.

The best part is that Apple allows you to toggle these features on and off, whereas Google doesn't offer it at all. If you compare them using a task like checking the weather—first asking for the forecast and then asking when the weather will start—the difference is significant. Google tends to repeat the same basic information about temperature and rain, while Siri provides granular details like exactly when the rain will begin, how much is expected, and when it will stop. These kinds of refinements make a massive difference in everyday usage. I like you gemini answer (Gemini: *wink*... I'm not stalking you, so can't do that. And even if I could I wouldn't tell you, since I care about privacy) in reality you should have said google lacks this.

That is true. But the Siri implementation is still considered Apple Intelligence.

The core issue here is that many Android users refuse to acknowledge the distinction between an underlying model and its implementation. They often dismiss Apple’s progress by claiming it is just Google Gemini in disguise, yet they fail to see that Apple has fine-tuned its version of the LLM to function differently and, in many real-world use cases, more effectively. When I compare my iPhone 17 Pro Max running the iOS 27 beta against my Fold 8 Ultra’s Gemini integration, Siri consistently provides more accurate and relevant responses. Much like how Samsung uses Google’s tech but integrates it differently than Google itself, Apple has built a unique ecosystem around its LLM that feels distinct. It feels like beating a dead horse trying to explain this to those who are determined to find excuses to dismiss Apple’s AI advancements.

What you are talking to in the cloud is just Gemini dressed up in Apple’s clothing.

If Apple puts a sticker on a Pixel-phone - does that magic somehow make it a Apple product? No ofc not.

It is still considered Apple Intelligence. I didn't make up the rule. It obviously is a Gemini model. However, it does use Apple Foundation models, and there are distinctly Apple features such as the App Intent System that allows Siri to perform actions inside apps.

Yes, it's a Gemini-person working while wearing an Apple-suit. Fine line, but I wouldn't call it an Apple product.
