Definitely looks like an interesting new form factor, but let's be honest here. It's DOA outside of China where its main target audience is. Outside of China, it has limited compatibility with networks OUTSIDE of China, no standard OEM warranty, and it's operating with less functionality than iOS or Android because of systematic limitations with HarmonyOS.

😏 Generated is an understatement.

The Huawei Pura X View is definitely an interesting form factor, and being honest here, Huawei has been innovating new form factors, reintroducing old, but familiar form factors, and increasing their sales and market share globally, so a device like this isn't DOA outside of China. Huawei is innovating with form factors while OEM's like Google think that adding flashing lights to the back of Pixels is innovating, for example. Outside of China, they've reintroduced their smartphones on a global stage with GLOBAL 5G bands (Pura 90s series, Nova 16s series, etc), so they no longer have limited compatibility with networks OUTSIDE of China. They offer standard OEM warranty, where Googles Pixels don't have that, for example. And they are operating with more functionality and far less bugs than Pixel smartphones, for example. This is partially due to the systematic limitations with Pixels when it comes to having an operarating system specifically designed for their smartphones that has no QC.

Would love to try one...BUT for one small thing. Google Play Store.

I have several work related apps that come from the play store. One or two are security type apps, then there are banking apps.

NONE of them will most likely work on this phone/OS.

Man it'd be great if people spoke about these phones with facts instead of "most likely's because accessing apps that are on the the play store and banking apps and such are easy peasy no issues doing these things on my Mate x7.

😏 Imagine having to come out with a bad puppet just to agree with yourself all because people are reasonably pointing out how this phone or any Huawei phone won't work because of app compatibility. Some individuals are so wound up with their own agenda that they fail to see anyone else's point of view regarding Huawei. If Huawei had clear access to the Play Store, then they would definitely have some measure of competitiveness in the market otherwise they are DOA as I indicated in my initial comment.
