We do? Only if it has Android and not that butchered, pre alpha build OS that is considered harmony.

Had three. Would have one again, only if: ALL bands worked on U.S. networks & had 100% access to ALL apps on the play store without having to unlocking, modding the OS.

One Plus is deas. It was BBK/Oppo's marketing idea to break out of the Asian market. Makes no sense to basically build two versions of basically the same phone for two different markets.

Redmagic, the ZTE subsidiary. Their 11S Pro and non-S similar model have effective cooling solutions that actually work. They would have to release USA-region variants with the proper 4G and 5G bands though, something they haven't done before. Barring that, future Oppo offerings will likely be comparable to the niche OnePlus occupied, if Oppo is able to get their cooling and sustained Wild Life Extreme results under control.

Ya'll know I would say Huawei. Oppo is the only brand I haven't gotten to play with a lot. I'm surprised Honor wasn't on the list.

From my experience, I actually do like Vivo's operating system better than Huawei or Xiaomi. When it comes to photography (which is my main concern with a phone), I think the best Huawei beats any other phone for candid photos, portraits, cityscape or night photos. However, now that I have the XT it is hard to compare those.

For Zoom, it depends on what you want. I think my Ultra 17 Leica Edition takes better zoom if you want detail. It also has WAY better image stabilization. The X300 though has lens attachments which there's just no competition there. I am REALLY surprised that Xiaomi hasn't offered this for the Leica edition. If you want "prettier" zoom photos, the X300 does better.

But when I'm outside, the Leica has "better" color tones for me. But that is subjective and both phones come with many different options for setting color tones. So maybe I just haven't played with Vivo enough. Xiaomi also has a much more intuitive camera setup that Vivo, but I'm slowly learning Vivo.

For closeups, the Xiaomi definitely did better than Vivo.

I got the Vivo because my Xiaomi got shattered when a bike hit me. So might as well try Vivo. I'm not mad at it. Vivo has some great things going for it, and that will be fine to use until I get the Xiaomi back in 5 months when I go to China and can replace the back glass for the camera.

I think the most important thing is that no matter which of the three you pick (between Huawei, Xiaomi, and Vivo), you'll be impressed with their photo quality and video quality compared to Samsung and Apple. I am NOT saying the others are bad, because my gosh they are all pretty phenomenal, but there's a reason my US friends always want me to use my Chinese phones to take our photos when we are out. haha

I could have sworn that someone here told me that no one in the U.S. would ever want Huawei devices here... guess they were wrong. I'll continue to take Huawei devices as is with HarmonyOS. If they ever did come back to the U.S. market and started using Android again, as long as they don't get the supremely buggy version that keeps plaguing a certain Android brand, that would be fine.

Sounds like some individuals have selective memory or just a case of senility. Then again, those are the geeks that swore up and down that Huawei would thrive and survive thanks to HarmonyOS, a faux Android fork that lacks basic functionality while trying to mimic iOS using Android source code. Course, can't talk about bugs when you have the software in question still sitting without consistent updates. 😏

Disappointed that Honor isn't on your list. That is the Chinese brand I want the most.

For a while, they looked easily recognizable with their camera islands, they always offer 1TB internal, and they offered Ultimate and RSR Porsche editions that were extra high end and had more aggressive exteriors. They also are the only ones that try to actually take on FaceID by still incorporating ToF camera on the front for face unlock. Their UI also resisted looking like an iOS clone for longer than other brands (MagicOS 7 was very "classic Android" looking).

Nowadays, they are a bit more generic looking and resemble iOS like the others, but they still have little thoughtful touches built in like the ability to knock all the transparency out easily and slider for rounded vs hard curves of the UI. I think they deserve more hype. If I had the chance to buy a US edition Magic phone within the last 3 years, I would have done it already. Pro or Ultimate or RSR. Without a second thought.

Seems like that individual has selective memory, or just an extreme case of a lack of knowledge. Then again, those imps that swore up and down that Huawei wouldn't thrive and survive thanks to HarmonyOS have been eating 🐦‍⬛ about that, while their favorite OEM lacks basic functionality due to a lack of QC, and massive bugs and issues. Of course, we can't talk about bugs without mentioning the software of the imps favorite OEM, still sitting with consistent buggy updates. 😏
