Discussion - The "iPhone Ultra" might not be all it's cracked up to be

The price for the Pura X knockoff is way too high, and it doesn't even have telephoto or stylus support.

Give it a proper multi-angle hinge with flex mode, support Apple pencil inside and out, allow it to run iPad OS on the inner display with windowed apps and dock, and allow it to run video to an external display for a desktop-like UI like an iPad, and it will absolutely be worthy of being called "Ultra." These are all the areas Google and Samsung are failing and pulling back. Apple could, and should, go for the jugular.

I've been a Z Fold user since the Fold 4. If the "iPhone Fold" delivers what I've outlined, I'll drop Samsung in a heartbeat.

While these articles are fun to read, I have to question the logic behind the "Ultra" branding. Historically, foldables have struggled to earn that title; for instance, even the Samsung Galaxy Fold 8 ultra falls short when compared to the S26 Ultra. It lacks the same camera array, features a smaller battery, and misses out on S-Pen support, yet it commands a $2,100 price tag.

Whoever writes these articles should be ashamed of such poor quality; you are supposed to be professionals.

Not calling it the iFold is the biggest miss in tech naming since not calling the Switch 2 the SUPER Nintendo Switch.

Considering Samsung is making the screen for the new Iphone Fold I believe they are going to be almost identical.
