Where do you think Samsung and other manufacturers get their ideas from? Take features like under-display cameras, for example. Apple often patents these concepts long before they are implemented, while others rush to market with them. Some of these features succeed, while others fail. This is the reason the fold duo outdid the fold 8 and every other fold. In my opinion, Samsung didn’t truly master the foldable category until the Galaxy Z Fold 7; earlier iterations suffered from flawed designs, such as small limited outer screens and really noticeable display creases etc. While Apple is undeniably late to the foldable market, I believe their strategy of waiting is justified. Apple consistently prioritizes refinement over being first, and with the iPhone Duo, they have delivered a polished device from day one. I would much rather see a product released later that is perfected than a rushed device filled with compromises.
I'm not trying to diminish Samsung's contributions, as I own their devices myself. I simply believe it is better to arrive late with a perfected product than to launch early with one that is incomplete or unrefined.
So, the author of this article apparently doesn't know to read. I read through the patent and it has NOTHING to do with foldable devices. It does, however, describe a flexible display, chassis and battery which NONE actually folds, just flexes i.e. bends a little. The citations of the prior art, shows what big money can do in the USPTO as this patent has no merit, IMO. And it is only a combination of previous ideas, just like most of other Apple's "inventions". As an engineer with plenty of patents of my own, I know exactly how thing work when a patent application is reviewed, dissected and looked at from the prior art perspective. So, with this said, i welcome haters to dispute my statement but only after they READ this patent. If you can't read, I will gladly help to decipher it for you
Are you restarted? The articles states Apple's patent was 2011 but Samsung's was 2009 and the Foldable was perfected by Oppo with the Find N6 earlier this year. Get up off your knees, seriously Apple will be fine without you. Xiaomi's wide fold and Huaweis are bothe better than Apples version.
The history of Duo began over a hundred years ago. It was when Steve Jobs mother was bending over... Steve Jobs father got an idea. Hundred years later the idea finally was ready to be released.
Can't you just write something real and obvious? Like how the Duo is a complete copy of Huawei Pura X Max?
