Until they're readily available in the US, (which will never happen) it doesn't matter. Nothing to worry about. I wish we had access to Chinese phones. I don't think most people here realize there are other phones than Galaxies & iPhones. I never see anything else out in the wild. Not even Pixels.

This article is irrelavent. You cannot get these phones in the USA, so why compare to other USA phone. The only wide in the USA so fare is the Fold 8. So they are not going to lose. Get the article name correct.

Couple things here:

  1. *irrelevant.
  2. Samsung foldables are not just "USA phone" & are sold in markets outside of America where other foldables are & because the US isn't the only market out there, the comparison still stands.

"If *efficiency* is your primary concern, yes. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 will be Qualcomm's first 2 nm chip..."

The smaller the die, the SoC will benefit more from efficiency than it does from power, though it achieves both. By lowering power draw and thermal output (efficiency) during heavy tasks, this allows high clock speeds (power).

Have you met The Average Dad? He imports all kinds of phones like Honor, Oppo, Xiomi, etc. He often has a China version and a Global version, he is in the UK but can ship to most anywhere incl US/Can/Mex and you are buying from his importer business, not Ali Express or something sketchy, and he has a YouTube channel where he explains all the phones in a review style so you can learn about them.

I haven't bought from him yet but I've been lurking for a while and watching his videos. Now that OnePlus is no longer available in the US, I may go through him for the OnePlus 16, or maybe an Oppo once I'm ready to upgrade.
