Honestly, the DOJ and the FCC never fully walked away from the idea of having FOUR carriers in the US -- and the waivers granted for a "hybrid network" that uses cell towers and satellites, along with other rule changes, seems to indicate the DOJ and FCC would gladly accept a D2D provider to become that 4th carrier.
To top that off, everyone forgot that Echostar (Boost) WAS building out their network and it WAS online for 75-80% of the population before they sold the spectrum to Starlink and ATT (both have 3-5 years to essentially finish the builds) -- and now Echostar's Dish Wireless (minus Boost) is in chapter 11, offering the ENTIRE network (which is still installed) along with all permits and uninstalled gear up for super cheap auction.
So SpaceX could essentially "build" it's own network on the cheap by buying up those towers and getting leases with the tower companies. And since those tower were programmed for the spectrum ATT/SpaceX bought SpaceX could go "full neutral" and get a low band lease with ATT, update those towers OTA, and have the entire network online within a month. (Solving the build deadlines for both carriers essentially overnight.)
SpaceX could also pick up the entire estate, extend the permits and use the hardware that wasn't installed to scale up and begin finishing what Echostar started -- and they can do it rather quickly.
Anyone who thinks they'll be taken seriously using the acronym TDS is laughable. You're supporting a pedophile and a rapist. Plus, we're talking about Musk here (a known Nazi sympathizer and transphobe) not your lord and savior who's probably actively s**tting his pants as we speak.
Grain management bought 800 spectrum dish cldnt afford it at time. Elon shld of bought all of Echostar and built boost network out instead of just sum spectrum then sold off parts he didn't need later.
