Is the author on Spacex/ starlink payroll? No mention of the competition and how 2 of the big 3 have teamed up with the them and Tmobile will probably switch sides at some point. No mention of starlink having far inferior tech and far smaller satelites? I am a fan of Elon but this article was just a fluff piece, probably written from under Elons desk.

When you ghostwriter for a supplier like this two things happen.

1) you instantly lose any credibility professionally (good look working with that rap)

2) people remember your AI slop paid for by vendors so they avoid it in the future.

If you think people dont already have experience with Musk and his companies you are deluded.

I ordered starlink in 2020 and waited a year and a half after making a deposit before I finally canceled and got my money back. Felt like Musk had held my money like a zero interst loan without a sorry or a thank you.

He will never get a dime of my money till the day I die. He is dead to me.

Those comments from trolls are weird, but the article was cool. Personally I'm severing tires with Verizon due to them blocking customers from contacting them utilizing AI as a virtual gatekeeper. I'm very interested in alternatives because the "big 3" simply crapped all over their customers over the years... All of us contributed to their growth and yet they hate their customers with an unmatched heated passion. Why customers continue to put up with the high price of telecom, coupled with their weird geopolitical activism is not only infuriating, it's a direct reflection of the thankless, post literate college idiots, detached from reality entering the workforce and obtaining positions of leadership, but due to single digit IQ's, they are ill equipped to discharge their duties. Implementation of AI as a support mechanism / customer blocker is corporate suicide.

Fair enough on him using your money for free. He has by and large executed on his visions albeit with all of them being delayed.

I understand why people despise him but I think overall he has been productive for society.

Lastly, I have given him zero dollars. I am actually invested in his competition so I am betting against him while still having respect for him.

I wonder if the author has ever tried to get an internet connection over Starlink through anything like a tinted window or just some foliage? If so, I'd like to know how he managed!

Since I wasn't allowed to edit my post, this as a comment:

This article/adverticle suffers from a lack of background.

And here is some of that background: Starlink uses frequencies above 11 GHz (including a number above 40 GHz). Those high frequencies (basically mmWaves), are great for high data rates, but notoriously sensitive to disruption by obstacles of any kind. Very similar to mmWave 5G from Verizon - it's clear line of sight or the valley of tears, there's no in-between. That's why SOS calls over satellite are supposed to be made with a clear sight of the sky; absent that, it probably won't connect.

Lastly: trying to get that Starlink signal through a tinted (= metal film coated) window like in a car won't work.
