😏 Oh bow here we go again. Remember when this happened with multiple phones back in 2015?

Yes. I even mentioned it in the article. Only thing is that this time, I feel many wouldn't mind having the Exynos 2700 powering their Galaxy S27 Ultra.

The cellphones i have bought in the recent years have been great on overheating and processing simply because my usage has adapted to the capabilities of the device I buy. If i want to do some high intense gaming or multitasking I would just buy a console that's made for that specific purpose or a higher tier phone. Those will be spacious and equipped with cooling methods that support continues use maybe even four hours or more.

People push these tiny devices to limit loading all types of applications that hug memory and have hidden background processes that reflect the true purpose for why the developers created them in the first place.

You can place a good chip in any device but the manufacturer knows what they are using the phone for and why they sell it to us. Apple will always have a soft spot in my heart for being the first company to allow users to create whatever they wanted within the limits of the software which are ever expanding with each iteration. The only thing that puts me off are the screen refresh limitations that may seem limiting but its only on the lower tier versions of the phone.

A controlling obsessive person will still be that after the sale.

It are some reports that the new OnePlus 16 that got the new Snapdragon Extreme chip get hot. It’s only sold in China. Will be interesting to see how other brands handle it. Like the Motorola Signature 27.

I guess its to early to tell now.

It used to be with the chipsets that you would get a year where they would kind of focus on thermals and performance. Now it's just make it more and more powerful but not caring about the thermals.

I'd rather have a chip that's good enough to run stuff and doesn't overheat than one that's super powerful and overheats and throttles constantly

Cooling is every bit as important as power, if not more.
