I was curious about "the one tiny flaw". In the article you write: " I started noticing that the extra-wide form factor is just a bit less comfortable in daily use compared to the iPhone 17 Pro". But then, you do not write specifics. What do you mean? Too large in the pocket, not practical to write...?

You used to complain about flagship phones being hard to type on with one hand and hard to fit in most pockets, yet now the much wider Fold 8 doesn't seem to get the same criticism. What changed?

The not-so-tiny flaw for me is the price. I'll probably wait after 6 months for a significant price drop. By then it'll be around USD1200 during promo season.

It would be incredibly handy for executive limo drivers and personal assistants. Mighty glad you pointed out the flaws being a slower charging speed than most flagships with the same price point. Could you elaborate on how many hours you got and the temperature when using the phone for longer hours. This could help us make a decision.

They could sell the pen separately and make more.

This is one of the reasons that the original Fold form factor has been lambasted by the digital press. But, after owning the Fold V, It quickly became the most remarkable thing about the device because I wasn't expecting it. Being able to handle a narrow phone is so nice and hand in a general hold or usage scenario. It's one of the main reasons I am not really considering going to the wider form factor in this device.

That being said, there seems to be a lot to love about this form factor and then Fold 8. One thing I am interested in if someone actually uses it on the daily is how much of a pain to go from portrait mode on the outside display to landscape mode on the inside display. I mean this has to be spun on the current form factor from time to time. But because the current form factor is already pretty wide, the juice isn't worth the squeeze most of the time to spin the device to get landscape on YouTube video for example. It's just about as easy to just watch it in portrait and still get a pretty large view. I found that few in the press really have time to live with most of these devices and expound on the uses like this that become either a hassle or a blessing when used as a daily driver for a long time.

Same here. I'm not even considering either of the Folds for this reason. I've heard that the titanium build has made stylus interference happen. Regardless, it's crazy to me to toss out an incredible feature like this for little to no effective reason.

The only really small flaw os, it wasn't made by Apple.

If Apple made this exactvsame device, you wouldnt find anything wrong with it. Because even though all there products have short-comings, you rarely of ever talk about them.

A slower charging speed isnt a flaw. Sonlet me see, based on your logic, since your car isnt as fast as a race car, that means your car is flawed. Right?

And if yoir car only needs regular 87 octane gas or diesel, that means its flawed vs cars that jse premium gas?

Just because one product foesnt do somrthing another one does, that dowsnt mean its flawed. If you think that, then youre not very smart.

The phone charges in about an hour. Thatbis fast enough. My phone charge full from 0% in about 80mins or so. Is it fakwed because it doesnt charge as fast as spme of the chinese brands? No. Nobproducts matches another sorc for specs. And when they sont it doesnt mean they have a flaw.

That is the most dumbest logic I have ever heard.

its aboit as dumb as Trump sayong hebis gonna meet with thw President ofnPuerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
