The iPhone ultra/fold is 100% going to be more expensive than the Samsung folds... so isnt this entire article moot?

Its not really about price and such for android now, especially with Samsung locking down their eco systems.... might as well just get an iPhone to have a better "we can't do anything else with our purchases," time.

I mean, price IS certainly a concern...but I'm doubting folks are out there doing South Korea-to-US pricing conversions and calculating the markup.

I don't care what's the MSRP on paper. I care how much you will be end up paying after all discounts. Samsung often have promotions that could easily bring the price down by $200-300. iPhones would probably never have such sales.

You think the rabid apple fan base cares about the price? Sadly, in America people buy their phones mostly from a carrier under a contract. They think they are getting a "deal" but if you price out the total monthly bill over the course of a contract, versus buying outright & going with a less expensive plan, it is usually less expensive. But most won't pony up the money outright. The buy now pay later mentality.

Yeah, I get it, things are expensive, but if you can't buy it, maybe you shouldn't until you save up the money. You can bet the apple fans will be standing in line waiting to be "the first" to get one of these and post selfies all over the social media sites. 😉

Again the hypocrite Sebastian talking about Samsung prices.

I'm curious, when Apple prices were as much are 20%-40% higher as Samsung, how come you never whined about it?

And actually Samsung pricing will never make us switch because Samsung offeres better trade in deal on phones, they also offer discounts to pre-order buyers and give discounts on other accessories too. Apple does not.

Apple folding device will cost more than any in Smajng lineup. I wanna see you (b) about it too. If you don't then you will just prove to be the hypocrite we all know you all here are anyways.

I personally don't care about folding phones. I think they are completely stupid and a total waste of money to.buy a product that is fragile right out the box. Though they most certainly are cool.

Anyone buying this device doesn't care what it costs. You whining about the price just shows how childish you are.

Again Apple 1st Gen device is expect to be close to $2500 and yet it will be less capable vs anything available now. As with all of Apple products, they cost more do less and you guys have yet to whine about it.

But it is do funny how you always find something to whine about when it comes to Samsung. I really wanna know, why you all are such Apple arse-kissers?!

Comparing a price of a product in one country to another. 1st off, a product should be cheaper in your home country. You don't have to ship it anywhere, pay for expensive shelf space and pay import taxes on it.

Samsung doesn't have to make as many available locally as the phone is expensive and will barely garner 1M sells, unlike in the US where they will likely ship twice as many.

You know a BMW and a Mercedes are also cheaper in their country of origin vs when they are imported to the US. No one who owns a BMW is gonna switch to a Toyota or Honda due to price

That alone shows how totally ignorant and stupid what you said is.

People who want something of brand or price will find a way to get it. If pricing was a real concern, luxury brands wouldn't even exist.

That alone makes your total argument completely illogical and dumb.

Price is only a problem for people who can't afford it.

I would say in countries where they don't have a debt system like the US, then a foldable is unreachable because no one for example in the Philippines would be able to buy this phone.

Even though carrier billing is available here, you have to prove you can pay for it and you must make a significant upfront payment to get an expensive phone.

For a $1000 phone many Will require almost all of the phone cost upfront because all of our phones are unlocked here so they can't tie you to a single carrier like the US does.

Also if you don't pay, they don't have a system to collect a debt, like we do in the US.

In the US you have so many options. Carrier billing, you can use your credit card to.buy now pay later.

A $2000 phone can be as low as $55 on a 36 month carrier billing and with the exception of Verizon, you can make extra device payments at anytime to payoff the phone in less time. As many do for a house or car, you take the longest term to get the smallest payment and you pay as much as you want at anytime and there is no penalty to pay it off early. And you can trade the phone in after 1 year anyways.

Which is another reason what you said is totally dumb.

And if people wanted an iPhone as bad as you always try to make it sound, they wouldn't be buying any other brand to begin with.

Everyone doesn't want an iPhone, because the only way to get a phone that isn't a piece of shyt, you have to buy the pro models which you don't with any other brand. Just like you don't have to buy a Benz or. Beamer to get a very nice car.

An iPhone has always been and will be a downgrade from a similar class Android. SAMSUNG makes the best Andeoid phone period, the sells say so.

The only thing that would ever make me go back to an iPhone is if there is zero options for an Android.

If so many people.want an iPhone, how come Apple.sales have capped at about 250M? Where did Samsung sales cap at? 430M. A number Apple will.NEVER reach.
