Rise is prices versus the "sideways" upgrades just make it not worth spending the money.

Never understood the "trade for a new one every year" thing. If your phone is doing what you need it to do, and is not damaged, why do you keep trading it in every year? Yeah, in the United States, most people are still tied to carrier contracts because they think they are saving money & the carrier "gives" them a new one every year for "free". Just keeps you locked into an overpriced contract for the most part.

Makes sense given that the incredibly cheap low-end Galaxy A07, Galaxy A17, and Galaxy A27 were the big sellers thanks to low cost EMI deals which replaced BOGO deals.

The fact that they make reliable devices helps improve consumer trust in them as a company. Their positioning in important and strategic markets where people rely on their communicative devices more than traditional computers also helps them. They marketing strategy is the end users and their efficiency following the purchase of the product.

I am a longterm Apple fan and look forward to enjoying the Apple ecosystem again in Europe but beyond those borders for which the system integrates well with travel, fine dining and shopping you find that trusting Samsung to offer a device that you can use with your banking app that won't embarrass you or keep you waiting aimlessly at the point of sale because of a super Apple users jealousy it's a Samsung its that simple beyond Apple services which are excellent by the way but tailored more to already expanded economies not developing ones.

It would make sense in an economy where you are a super fan and want to look cool while saving some money too. Get the plan pay it off then trade it in for the latest for a huge chunk off or better still just rent it and then get the latest when it ships. Since everything is transferable it's a no brainer for those who simply love the latest tech. For people like us we get one when it shows signs of it's last legs but given the opportunity to live where you could do that we all might. With deals starting at £50:50£ a month it's a hell of a deal.
