This is really sad news. Pixel phones used to stand out for their performance and exceptional camera capabilities. Now, they increasingly feel like devices built around a growing ecosystem of cloud services and AI subscriptions.

Google's refusal to bring Snapdragon chips back to the Pixel lineup makes it feel like they're prioritizing profit margins over delivering the best possible hardware experience.

Just imagine a Pixel with Google's incredible camera processing and video capabilities, powered by a chip as powerful and efficient as Apple's latest silicon. That could be an outstanding smartphone.

Instead, it feels like Google has lost sight of what made Pixel special in the first place. The focus seems to have shifted from pushing smartphone hardware forward to selling more paid AI subscriptions. And that's genuinely disappointing.
