Discussion - I'm sick of modern phone screens (and Apple is to blame)

Most comfortable phone I've ever had & the display is still amazing.

I get the complaint, and iPhones definitely took it to the extreme...but more rounded corners do make a phone more pocketable and comfortable to hold.

First, when phones were rectangle with sharp edges, you complained to curve them so the phone is more comfortable to hold.

Also OEM"s did copy this idea from Apple. Several phones have had curved screens long before the iPhone, the screen just didn't take up the phone front of the phone.

I get so sick of the lying claim that everyone is copying Apple. Apple isn't the blame for anything. You don't have to buy a phone with a curved screen.

Get the Fold 7 or 8. Those screens aren't curved. Or get something older.

I personally prefer the curved edges do that they are gouging dents into my hand when I hold it. Espcially this is important when i game, because most of my games require landscape.

There is just no pleasing you guys. You complained when they wasn't curved. Then you was happy when they curved them. Then you whine you want the square again.

Just make you own phone. It's now easy. Just pull the parts from another phone, use CAD and design a shell and then 3D print it and put the internals into it.

Agreed. I prefer the S24 Ultra's design to the S25 or S26. But it's hard to count how many times "reviewers" praised the change because "it doesn't dig into your palms". SMH.

Screens should have perfectly squared corners, not rounded...

Dude! Thank you! You don't know how many times I get tired of hearing that sh¡t. I use mine with & without a case for extended amounts of time & not once has it ever felt like it was digging into my palms.

Absolutely agree. Please no more curved screens or corners. Dumbest idea.

This. We hear so much criticisms from tech reviewers when a device has a rectangular display saying it is "too sharp", "not modern" blah blah. Curved displays also get so much hate from the same tech folks saying it's "old" or "slippery". There's nothing to please them except what Apple or Samsung is doing.

I am using a S25 Ultra as my daily, and a friend of mine has the S26 Ultra. Honestly, I prefer the S25 Ultra more as the less rounded corners and squarer look feels more premium.

Held both the Ultras together before. The S26 Ultra does not feel "less digging" into my palms.

Oh, come on... I realize English may not be your native language, but you are a writer (it is important to at least understand the language you are writing in). Even spell-check would have flagged this one, so you clearly aren't proof-reading before publishing.

While 'Unsymmetric' is technically a word, it is far less common than 'asymmetric'.

However, 'unsimetric' is not a valid word in the English language.
