What's your take: has Apple managed to leapfrog the foldable competition?

Honestly, these days there's not enough crossover. People have pretty much picked their operating system. So I don't think we need to pit everyone against each other all the time. Apple did a great job getting Apple customers to move them to folds and spend two grand.

Worried about what?

It was difficult to read the article. It's clear from the first sentence how much you love and adore Apple. You let them get away with everything...

The Duo is a pure copy of the Huawei Pura X Max. Plain and simple. A tough pill to swallow.

"My problem here is that this is a cutting-edge, $2000 phone, and it still lacks a telephoto camera. I'm sure it's super tough to stuff it in there, in such a thin body." .... Huawei did... While still having better screens on both the inside and outside. And still costing 2/3 of what a Duo does.

All foldables matter

You mention that you does not know of any other phone with a more optimized crease.

Does that mean you as a tech journalist do not know about Oppo Find N6, Honor Magic V6 or any of the latest foldables from Huawei? Strange.

If you wanted to be correct you could say "The most optimized crease Apple has made". 😅

It's not the most invisible crease. People outside the tech industry knew that it's because of the matte display. You will see several forums that every other OEM will have the same effect when applying a matte hydrogel film.
