It's not even out yet. It doesn't deserve any credit until it's been announced & then sold.

One of your editors insist the iPhone Fold is the reason for the Galaxy Folds success 🤔

Samsung has literally built 8 generations of this device yet somehow all that is apples credit.

Im honestly surprised to see phone arena cranking out AI generated articles. You could at least edit it enough to take out what sounds like claude here: But validation is not invention, and a phone that has not shipped cannot be the reason other phones sold. Those two ideas are being blended together right now, and the blend is doing a lot of work that the evidence is not.

Your readers could honestly generate this themselves without giving you the clicks. I expected better.

Yeah, this is bait but still, even with an AI written article the same slop excuse is used. “Apple late to the market” As hard as it is for those who hate apple to understand, they are not “late” do to inability or missed opportunities. They take the idea, play with it, look for a market and if they find one the prefect it to their standards. Only if they can achieve that will they even bother. To be honest, 3% of the market is likely not with the time but they know a foldable iphone will sell and likely grow to double digit percentages because of them. Love or hate Apple, their still trend setters and have more loyalty then any other brand in the game. Even if you think it’s forced due to the ecosystem, forced loyalty is still loyal. People will cry over the cost as they take out loans to pay for them too.

That’s what happens when you are 8 generations in and only command a 3% market share. I very rarely see Samsung foldable advertisements or the devices in person. By this time next year you will see Apple foldables in ads and in person regularly. They will have more then 3% of the market by mid 2027 and it will go higher the the steady 3%. This article is way off base about that.

I would not call a 3% market share much of a success but do you think they would have sold as many as they have if there had already been an Apple option? I am sure a large number of those sell would have and will go to Apple after theirs drops. So yes, some of their sales are because of Apple. But not all of course, Samsung makes great devices, but 3%? That’s not great numbers and that’s not even all Samsung.

Sad but true to the average consumer it doesn’t matter who came first anyways

If Samsung sold more folds this year compare to last year, isn't that a success? Or your definition of success means to compare with Apples success?

Also iPhone fold is not out, so why even talk about "what if" moments? What if a meteorite hits Apple HQ next month and all of apples marketshare declines?
