It is part of a half-baked OS; what did you expect? It works fine now, but crashes in a few minutes, as usual with Android.

Sorry but your poll is a weak argument. What % of the pro RCS users were Android? Number of iOS?

Now, iMessage and WhatsApp are NOT texting messing apps. Both route "texts" across the internet using WIFI or cellular data plan to a proprietary server to then delivered to the recipient.

So the idea that this is a problem with Google or RCS alone is laughable! Blaming the color of bubbles is rich!

As an Android user, I only had issues with iSheep and their iPhones. My favorite was not being able to "download", view, or read texts with iPhones while in Ireland. I'd receive actual texts from other android users no problem but every iMessage would arrive with a prompt to download. Sounds like an Google and RCS issues for those that spend double on a device because Becky has one and I like fruit more than a little green robot!

Cheers!

Honestly, I’ve had less trouble with Google messages than iMessage. I’m saying this as someone with an iPhone as my daily device. I’m sure the True Believers will disagree, but we all know what that’s worth.

I just wish ALL android messaging apps had RCS. When I asked why Textra doesn't support RCS, I was told that it was because google hasn't "released" something so they can implement it.

I'd give up google messages in a heartbeat if Textra had RCS.

It's one of those DUH! things. If they won't "allow" other apps to have it, anyone that wants to use RCS has to use THEIR messaging app. 😡
