Serious question, if a new phone came out with the best camera on the market, but the processor was 2 years old, would you buy it if it was priced sub $1,000 since using older chips?

(Raises hand) I would.

Sure. A 2 year old Snapdragon 8 series is still a perfectly good chip.

This must be the most misinformed article I have ever read. And most articles on PA are pure desinformation. But this one was wrong from headline to last sentence.

EU pricing:

Xiaomi 18 Pro Max 512GB = €1849

iPhone 18 Pro Max 512GB = €1889

So even though the Xioami is better specced in every category...it's still cheaper to buy!

Agreed. I'm not HUGE on gaming on my phone. I have a Switch 2. I have not had a phot LAG since I think my old HTC EVO 3D. My old Huawei Xs2 and even my Xiaomi 14 Ultra are both still super snappy. Literally if I could pop the camera module out, and put in a new one, I wouldn't even upgrade phones.

I'm over here like, "No, I wouldn't" but then remembered that my S24 Ultra is going on 3 years old & performs perfectly fine but wishing I had an updated/top of the line camera. 😂
