Discussion - Apple is setting records, but Huawei still has the upper hand

The wearables market in China is pretty competitive with some compelling offers. Aa I said before, Huawei does have some good wearables, barring price and developer support. HarmonyOS works best as a wearable OS. Anything else short of that is just a small 🐠 in a massive ocean.

Apple just released their new watches. Same watches, new names. Still underperforming in almost every category. Especially regarding battery life.

While Huawei also recently released their new watches. Class leading watches.

Huawei would trounce Apple globally, if the ban were lifted, play store access returned and their devices were available and accepted on networks globally.

The wearables market in China is the most competitive in world, much like the smartphone and tablet market. They have some incredible offerings. *As I've stated before, Huawei does have some great wearables, with competitive pricing and developer support for the regions they mostly sell in. HarmonyOS has been intentionally made to be flexible, so it works best as a wearable OS, smartphone OS, tablet OS, computer OS, and IoT device OS. Anyone saying anything else like it "falls short of that is just a small 🐠 in a massive ocean", has zero experience with HarmonyOS powered devices, and zero knowledge of how HarmonyOS works.

Defending a domestic-only bubble as a 'global ecosystem' because 80% of its shipments never leave China is peak delusion, and that's saying something considering the individual in question. Calling an isolated software fork 'flexible' doesn't change the fact that it's a localized captive market propped up by regional subsidies from the government. Keep pretending a domestic safety blanket equals global dominance while the rest of the world runs on platforms that don't need a passport or a degree in Sideloading. PSA, I'm not the one who said HarmonyOS has a learning curve. 😏 That's what happens when your OS is a Frankenstein derivative of Android.
